I'm just...not sold...on Vanek. Others have mentioned he's showed hustle in the past, but every time I watch him, he just seems so floaty. And he was garbage for Austria. I'm sure there's more to the picture but I still maintain this team needs playmaker/guy that can hold the puck rather than another goal-scorer. Although someone (one of the Isles fans maybe?) compared him to Jason Allison in the offensive zone in regards to puck protection so eh.

I would be perfectly fine if KK11 was extremely disappointed, since he seems to be looking for a Moulson/Vanek type deal. The Kings need a defenseman. It's going to take a miracle for Dean to find one at the deadline without severely overpaying.

Would 1st plus Muzzin and Frattin for Markov

It's painful to watch Kings offense and lack of scoring lw, but having Markov with Doughty sounds fantastic.

I think if we deal with habs Clifford would be a piece that would be in the deal. I think there high on him liking his size and grit. Also I ve read a few "hab insiders' (for lack of a better word) claim there gm wants toffoli as well.

I couldn't agree with you more and pointed it out to them as well. I'm only passing along stuff i ve heard. Only way toffoli would be headed there is patches coming back ( not one for one but in a package)

Agreed. The only way I would even consider trading Toffoli would be an established player in his mold. Pacioretty fits the bill.
