I just love how even after what the market is clearly showing about guys on 1 year deals left and paying 30 year old soon to be UFAs, Canuck fans are still delusional thinking they are getting a haul back for Miller 😂😂

Because Tkachuck is worth more on the open market than Miller, but they have the pieces in Calgary where they will want to compete now. JT Miller going there is a 100pt 1st line Center that would fit a Sutter system perfectly. With the Calgary scenario they have a lot less leverage as it’s basically made public that he is leaving, they need to replace him the best they can. I’m sure we could pry Schneider out of a Tkachuck deal, it doesn’t seem that way with a Miller deal.

Hence, worst case you can flip him or if he’s willing to resign, you can extend him. It’s definitely worth exploring, unicorns like him are never available.
So we spend assets to upgrade Miller to Tkachuk, and then try and get those assets back, plus what we would have gotten for Miller, at the TDL? Tkachuk isn't worth the effort. Plus the cap issues on top of that...

I just love how even after what the market is clearly showing about guys on 1 year deals left and paying 30 year old soon to be UFAs, Canuck fans are still delusional thinking they are getting a haul back for Miller 😂😂
Give us examples in this market.

I can still see them getting a A prospect, 1st, young player + additional pick.

There’s always someone out there that will overpay when they get desperate

No chance. DeBrincat is a more valuable asset than Miller and went for much less

Wait till tdl. I’m betting someone will be desperate. As long as JT keeps up last years pace
You think a couple month rental asset is going to return more? Lol, Canucks missed their boat because management got greedy thinking the Canucks had a chance at Playoffs last year and would return the same value they were getting at the TDL this summer.

Oh boy were they wrong. You can thank that genius Sat from 650 for convincing the masses

What do you think he will get, and who do you compare him to as a TDL rental? I guarantee you are wrong.

Tell me when Sat and those Canuck sources have been right over the past year? I live here and listen everyday since I drive to and from work.

It’s delusion multifolded and they’ve been wrong more than right.

Poolman and Dickinson were their two “favourite signings” this time last year and now they want both dumped lmao

So less than Taylor Hall? Hall got a 1st, a 3rd that could be as high as a 1st, 2 B prospects and a C prospect. Miller has more value at the TDL than Hall got.
That was 3 years ago and at 50% retention. A lot has changed since then. But good luck, let’s revisit.

Really hoping we either trade our 2023 1st for a top pair RD and re-sign Miller...

OR

That we trade Miller for PHI 2023 1st + prospect...then proceed to trade Horvat, Petey, Demko, etc. for other 2023 1st round picks + prospects

Enjoy the last few years of Drai and McDavid. Edmonton needs to start planning their exit 2 years before the contracts end. They don't want to leave it until the last year.

You are obviously trolling when making comments like this. It’s completely untrue and the only intention is to get people riled up. Reported.
Not trolling at all. I was told Tucker Poolman's advanced analytics were elite in WPG and he was going to be a great addition to the top 4 and Dickinson was just what the Dr. ordered, a versatile 3C who was underutilized in Dallas.

1 year later, both are 2 of the worst contracts they signed and both players would be dumped if they held any positive trade value.

Honestly I've enjoyed enough Hockey success in my life even with the decade of darkness to keep me happy. Wonder who can't say the same.

I'll bookmark this post for when they resign though :)

Sounds good. It is pure stupidity to think that a 1c gets thr same as a 3rd line rental.

If you want to make a fool of yourself, I don't mind feeding you.

"Who" told you? If you are referring to local media/hosts, we are already aware that they are clowns. They certainly don't represent the fanbase here.

When Poolman was signed I don't recall anyone penciling him in the Top 4, or even said it was a good signing. Most people felt it was too long and too much AAV. He was a bottom pairing dman who got a ridiculous term.

The Dickinson signing was received better, but many were still lukewarm about it at best. Even before he played a single game, many noted his lack of offense and considered him a waste of a pick.

If you Googled you probably can find outliers amongst the fanbase who support your claim, but really that's confirmation bias and is not representative of what most people think. This can easily be verified by reading the threads created when they were signed.

You are literally just making up narratives in a pathetic attempt to piss people off. It's pretty sad really because that seems like the only channel for you to get attention.

I enjoy the limited insight your posts provide. Of course I worked with people who were intellectually compromised.
