Because Rychel, Ho-Sang and Beauvillier would be this franchises saviors.

What does that have to do with anything? LW prospect depth isn't even the beginning of your concerns moving forward. Worst prospect pool in the league, and not much young talent on the roster to boot. I'm seeing multiple top 5-10 selections in your future, unless you continue to flip them for short-term fixes.

It seems to be that playoff slam dunk team > second contract or Hawks would be out IMO.
Not sure on Rangers cap situation , thought it wasn't great unless they move one or more of Girardi Staal Nash

I guess that strength of line mates though would bolster his numbers enabling a higher second contract so Hawks have that as well. Just what happens if he gets the Saad maneuver ?

Rangers cap is fine, even now. Nash is off the books when Vesey is due a new contract.

Just under 3.5 million. Plenty of room.

Those were the players taken with the firsts the Rangers traded away.

You're not applying to a firm - that would be exactly what Vesey is doing now. That means you have a choice.

Using your analogy, you'd finish school and get told what firm you'd have to practice with.
Not true.

The NHL is the company, and each city has it's own franchise. He can play hockey any league (company) he wants but if he wants to play in the NHL, they tell him where he has to start.

What has he done to show you or anyone else who doesn't interact with him personally on a day to day basis that he's not humble, hard-working or down to earth?

A team player? Well technically he was never part of the Predators "team" itself.
And he turned down a pro contract to remain unpaid with his college team for his senior year.

Pretty silly post by LetsGoBlues.

Eklund is reporting Chicago is the front runner as of now
Ah ****. Pack it in. It was fun while it lasted. GL to whoever signs Vesey.

A team scouted him and decided to spend a draft pick on him. Believed in him. Just like what hundreds of other kids go through. And he thinks he should just get to decide where he wants to go? B.S. That's not how this works. You think guys from Manitoba like going and playing for a team in the south? No. They do it because that team had faith in them and they want to show them the faith was warranted.

This clown has shown that he cares about nothing other than himself. Humble? Give me a break. This is quite precisely the opposite of humble.

If you want to say "eh I don't care he can play", fine. But don't try to spin what he's doing here.

Would you like to have the power to make choices about your employment to be given exclusively to one employer? Do you like other folks making choices for you?
Again, same logic. He's free to play for whatever league he wants to apply for but if he chooses the NHL, they have a process to determine which location he starts at.

I still don't understand. What's the indication that the Rangers would've selected the same players?

All he's saying is that those are the caliber of players we've missed out on, so it's not like we'd be getting franchise players from those picks.

January 1, an under-performing Vesey will be complaining to the media that he was promised a top-6 spot after being relegated to the fourth line and press box.

Those are the players that were taken with the 2013, 14 and 15 first rounders we traded.

And at least we've hit on every first rounder we've had 09-12. All of them are legit NHL players. How many teams can say that? Some teams still have players drafted from those years in their prospect pools.

And we can just pretend Zuccarello was our 2013 1st round pick and Hayes our 2014.

And Vesey our 2016 :yo:

That's not normal. If he goes to any other league in the world, no one would tell him "but you can only play for team xyz". I thought slavery was done with the civil war in the USA. In a free world no one should be able to wield such power.

How so?

facts please.....

literally facts...not hearsay...

He was selected by a team that scouted him and took him over hundreds of other players and he bailed on them. That's a literal fact.

That is not what a humble, hard-working, team-first player does.

It's not just him... It's a right bargained for in the CBA. That's exactly how this works.

He didn't "bail" on them. He exercised his rights as a union worker in the NHL. Are you just not able to understand?
