Heres a third one and this guy works for the NHL network:

Lol, do you not understand how this works? They're all repeating the same wrong source. It's how the social media " sourcing " works. They repeat each other, wrong or right, and it's already been proven to be wrong.

It's shocking how many people can't tell when reporters are throwing stuff out for hits.

The Agent just said there are a handful of teams still involved.

McKenzie, Friedman, His Agent.

Don't trust anyone else.

Not that hard my peeps.

Yeah for real. I'll only believe something is official once Bob, Dreger or Friedman tweet it.

and for that reason those are the only 3 I follow on Twitter. Other than Rangers guys and stuff for fantasy hockey like goalie starts and what not.

He is elite but hasn't had the sustained success Crosby, Malkin, Toews and Kane have had.

What would sustained success mean to you?

He was a two time 70 point scorer his 2nd and third year in the league at 19/20 years old.

He started getting serious Selke votes at 25.

He's maintained a 60 point or so pace since the return from his concussion and considered to be the best defensive forward of his generation.

He has nearly 100 playoff games. 2 time Cup finalist ( 1 cup ). Triple Crown winner. 3 time Selke winner ( argument could be made it should be 5 ). Etc etc.

Bergeron has had sustained success his entire career.

Obviously going to NYR or CHI. I mean it's all over the Twitter sphere.

What would success mean to you?

Multiple Cups, Conn Smythe, Hart Trophys.

And I never put down Bergeron. He is a phenomenal player.

My original point was that people say the Rangers don't have high-end talent. It's because they've been a playoff team all but one year since the lockout and have never come close to drafting in the top 5. Where all the franchise changing talent is.

Talent that single-handily turned around two nearly dead franchises (CHI and PIT). Brought two Stanley Cups to a franchise that went what 40 years without one (LAK).

Talent that has carried a team to the SCF and Game 7 of the ECF in the past two seasons (Hedman, Stamkos, Drouin).

Talent that has a mostly irrelevant franchise since its inception in Florida to a team that is primed for multiple runs at the Cup (Barkov, Ekblad).

It will be Chicago and he will magically fill in on the 1st line with 20+ goals. Because Chicago.

Of course his agent is going to come out and deny the NYR/Chi rumors. There's absolutely no incentive for him to confirm that Vesey has narrowed it down to two.

That doesn't necessarily mean the NYR/Chi rumors were wrong though.

I know Columbus has no chance of signing him but I am still disappointed that they submitted an offer.

Sure, there is the "try to improve the team at all costs" view, but on principle I don't think there should be a way around playing for a team that drafts you. Yes, it isn't a loophole, but my view is that young players SHOULD have 0% control over where they sign, RFA players with arbitration rights have about 50%, and UFA players have 100%.

Veseys team seems to want to limit what gets leaked out. I'm pretty sure Veseys team denied it just so that they can control when its officially announced.

To be Devil's Advocate, why would Vesey's agent tell teams that they were out? More competition is likely to yield better offers.

Also being Devil's Advocate it's not Chicago or New York area reporters reporting that no one has been eliminated. It's people from Boston and Pittsburgh. Again - why would they want to admit defeat?

I tend to agree with this. A credible media person would not say "multiple sources" if they werent his sources. At least id hope not.
