Vesey would be crazy to pass up playing for the Penguins. and yes I am a Penguins fan, and no that's not why i'm saying this!!
2 yr @ $925,000 cap hit, $3.775M AAV with the max bonuses which he'll get. So yeah... that's over 1.2m
If that was actually true, Toronto, New York (both teams), Pittsburgh and Chicago all would not have enough cap space to sign him.
Psst. News flash... bonuses can be deferred to next season. Which means it's 925k that teams need to worry about this year. And the only bonuses that will count next year are the ones he hits - which means unless he gets the calder or another major award, will be a fraction of the 2.85m he's eligible for.

Can this little ******* just pick a team already, good grief when I just read his decision might come tomorrow I almost puked
Ps I understand it's a big commitment for him but whaaaaat the heck he's had months

You know, I think this is the most convincing argument in this thread so far. Plus all of that walking to hit the pokestops is the best way to hatch all of those eggs. We're all overlooking just how many Pokestops Manhattan has. Central Park is a constant source of lures. If Vesey is trying to be the very best, like no one ever was, he'll go to the Rangers.

Lets move on from bashing the cities/states where people live. Thanks.
There is some thought that Toronto wouldn't be able to offer max bonuses, but I think they would and they'd figure the rest out later.
Damn, and I was enjoying the bashing of each other's cities and states. Was quite amusing. Can I bash the porch of indecision?
Or maybe he's had only three whole ****ing days since he became a free agent and could talk to any teams other than BUF. Good God, why is that so hard to understand?
Former Rangers GM Neil Smith:
Neil Smith @nycneil
Jimmy Vesey will be with an American original 6 team I'm hearing. @NYRangers & @NHLBlackhawks are finalists according to multiple sources.
The porch of indecision lies at the bottom of a Whiskey bottle so by all means
To be totally accurate, teams need to have enough bonus cushion available to fit that contract with those bonuses built into it under that cushion, I believe all teams in the running currently have enough cushion left but Toronto is close to not.
And it's pretty unlikely he hits many, if any, of those higher dollar bonuses anyway, yet a team would still need to have the space one way or the other.
Unless he signs with the Rangers in which case it's a slam dunk so he should sign with them.
I feel like we are going to be in for a long day if we are waiting on news
