Worth what risk? He had no intentions of signing and threw away a 3rd for nothing. Good to see sabres fans don't care about throwing away draft picks.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I am not a Sabres fan but I would be fine with my team trading a 3rd to try and get Vesey even if he didn't sign.

You only score on shots that you take.

I heard from a good source that he actually hates being called "Jimmy" and prefers to be called "James".

Still have a strong feeling that when all is said and done, That he signs with the Hometown Boston Bruins. Just have that feeling.

I agree. That's what I would do if I were him.

The Bruins need him also. They are half way between rebuild and competing. He helps the process for Boston.

It's like, come on Jim, you're an adult now. Jimmy is for 13 year olds

Jimmy is good for hockey... but if he were to become a doctor or something, then he could go with James.

Dr. James Vesey sounds good.....

but during games, JIMMMMYYYYYYYYYY VEEEESSSSSEEEEEEEEEEYYYY sounds unreal

Or Pittsburgh- chance to win a cup while playing on a line with the best player in the world....not to mention a much lower cost of living than NY, Boston, Chi.

The two best players in the world are Kane and Toews and play in Chicago. The Pittsburgh run this year was a benefit of weak teams advancing. I dont think theres ever been a team like Pitt with basically 2 players winning it all in the history of the game

Sarcasm? I really hope this is sarcasm. Because this entire post is way too wrong to be even remotely serious.

I mean the guy did go to Harvard. Dr. Jimmy Vesey just sounds like a guy I wouldn't trust as my doctor. Now as my team's 2nd line winger, absolutely

Boston is a good fit and if its always been his #1 choice I don't see why he's wasting the time of other teams. Hearing everyone's pitch has some merit but its an ELC and the money is going to be the same regardless so just sign with Boston already. Teams can say you'll be playing with this guy getting x amounts of minutes but if he doesn't produce then he's the same as every other young player/prospect on the roster. Whether its intended or not he's coming off as a primadonna.

Sid, Geno
Kopitar, Doughty
Seguin, Benn
Ovie, Backstrom

That's 4 better ones right there in the NHL right now

Not to mention all the others that had monster playoffs for the Pens:
Kessel, Hagelin, Bonino, Murray, Cullen, Hornqvist. All of the d were basically flawless.

I agree.

It shows the effect of the stagnant cap, though, when a player like John Tavares is sent to sell his team to Vesey.

The big thing that confuses me with that post is that the Pens "only have 2 players", as if the Pens don't have a fringe top-5 defenseman and a top-5 RWer in the NHL. Did he just forget about the Pens adding Kessel or something? You know, the dude that was arguably the best RWer in hockey for like 3 seasons?
