I find it suspicious how little Boston is on the radar

IMO Boston is the default place he'll sign unless some team wows him this week.

Vesey is going to be scrutinized no matter where he signs because of all this hoopla surrounding him. People are going to be anxious to see if he lives up to all the hype.

It's a little late to say he would prefer to be under the radar.

Absolutely, the hype is too big. The kid has potential to be a good player and an asset but not elite.

He's NHL ready and a UFA - that's all.

It's not like he's going to walk into a team and lead them in scoring.

Well I wouldn't be concerned with the team but rather the media and fan expectations. Too much drama I suppose.

Let's just say at times Toronto can be too passionate about hockey.

Good luck proving that. It's ceartainly possible there could be tampering but it's a father and son - it's not like a random GM trolling.

I would doubt he is even really asking for this, that would be audacious. He is more likely looking for the best opportunity to get those minutes, not asking the minutes be handed to him.

It's not just NHL.com a lot of sites have it listed as the 15th.
Vesey can't sign a contract with the other 29 teams until 12:01am August 16th

I think Nashville or Buffalo could file. Nashville would have to prove the tampering occurred when he was Nashville property, Buffalo would have to prove the tampering occurred after the trade

Little biased obviously, but I think he was scared of the competition from some of the younger forwards that could have knocked him down to a third line spot ( aka someone like Fiala)
