On the contrary if you were going to being offered the exact same amount of money and opportunity by every team in the league except 1 sweetened the deal and agreed to give your dad a job wouldn't you want to help your family?
All i know is that i personally put family above all else.
Dallas; now wouldn't that be something. They are a team that has no need for him and are in the west. I would find it funny if he went there.I really hope he signs with some completely off the radar team. Would make this whole thing a lot more entertaining.
I personally wouldn't want to sign with a team my dad works for. Say your dad gets the boot and it ended ugly, I know I would want out if it was my father. The other thing is that Toronto isn't exactly driving distance and seems that being close to Boston was brought up by Vesey. The other thing, Toronto is a great city and maybe the best hockey town, however, you'er under the microscope and with their tax bracket being higher than NY/NY is dam scary.
Both Lou before coming here and the Leafs before his arrival were very good at recruiting NCAA talent and/or having good ties with the NCAA.
Wonder if that plays out here.
I love how every time a team is out, another team is back in, only to be followed by the team returning and dropping somebody else off the list. I can't see how his list has even changed. He can't really speak to other GM's yet so I'm sure he hasn't eliminated any teams on his "Short" long list.
Vesey and his agents, Peter Fish and Peter Donatelli, will conduct interviews with teams in Boston on Tuesday and Wednesday. A decision is expected by the end of business hours on Friday at the latest, sources tell ESPN.com.
The New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs are strong contenders as Vesey, who played for Harvard, prepares for free agency, sources said. The Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders and Boston Bruins are also on that list.
So staying close to your sick father who works in Boston for the Leafs?
I really hope he signs with some completely off the radar team. Would make this whole thing a lot more entertaining.
Key word: Possibly.
If he signs in Torornto things will get pretty entertaining.
Indeed, he will be expected to be a PPG player right off the bat which isn't going to happen and if the Leafs fail again he will find himself under the microscope like Kessel.
If I was in his position I wouldn't even consider Toronto for the off ice and media reasons.

It's much better in TO since Lou and Babcock took over.
He would be under less pressure in Toronto than in most other places. He'll be a story because we signed him, but fans watching the youth on the team will have their eyes on Matthews, Marner, and Nylander ahead of Vesey. Being signed and expected to be Toews's left-winger or Crosby's winger is probably more immediate pressure than he would get here.Indeed, he will be expected to be a PPG player right off the bat which isn't going to happen and if the Leafs fail again he will find himself under the microscope like Kessel.

Much better? I highly doubt that.
It seems better because the media finally accepted losing...but see how Reimer or Dion felt last year; it was the same IMO.
Disagree here.Much better? I highly doubt that.
