Read what SR said. Powe takes the spot most likely, but there could be something going down. :help:

Powe takes his spot in the lineup, but their was no need to clear a roster spot unless something else happens. if someone was called up it would have happened so makes you wonder behind the scenes. although i hope Thomas gets another look...

Newbury got sent down because with MZA here we don't need another forward. Also, while he looked good his first game up, it's been progressively downhill since then. Throw in the fact that he took a classic boneheaded Newbury penalty last game and it's an easy call.

Opens a roster spot, which may or may not be needed. I don't see it as a definitive precursor to anything.

Writing was on the wall when he took an offensive zone penalty last night. If you're a borderline NHL/AHL guy and you take one of those penalties Torts has a 0 tolerance policy.

But if you're JT Miller or Brian Boyle......

Anywho, I don't mind Powe getting back in the lineup. Would like to see him and Asham in and Pyatt or Boyle out.

I want some toughness on the 4th line, I hope Powe can fight...

Lol, fighting? How barbaric and unnecessary! Shame on you sir for endorsing such behavior. These are the rangers, they are far to sophisticated to fight. When the rest of the league realizes they can play gutless hockey like our rangers, we will be much more competive.

Why??!? I thought he had at least a decent effort.

If you're name isn't Brad Richards or J.T Miller you'll be benched or even sent down for taking a penalty. :sarcasm: (but really)

Newbury's boarding call must have sent John over the edge. Back to the dungeon for you Kris.

Can we stop calling up Newbury. This was like his 4th time being called up and he hasn't done a single positive thing that I can recall. He's an AHLer, keep it that way.

I actually thought he looked like a decent 4th liner this time.

There just isn't room for him in our lineup.

just get him out of the organization.. rather have a player who is useful called up like Thomas for goal scoring ability or give Yogan or Wilson a look if they want some jam

Newbury was fine . Nash takes at least one bad penalty a game it seems and lately besides awful times has looked farely pedestrian in effort and ability . Not comparing Newbury to Nash but just pointing to the bad penalty thing which everyone does from time to time .

Newbury was fine. Victim right now of the numbers game. He's been of that for a while.

In any case--they're not going to not play Pyatt.
