Recalled/Assigned: All-Encompassing Call-ups Thread (4/29: Thomas, 9 others recalled to NYR)

Kreider and Miller down -- THANK ****ING GOD. Neither of them are ready for prime time.

We have two full lines of guys not ready for prime time. The thing is these two guys are not veterans and may (should) be ready some day. The other bottom 6 guys; their die is cast. They are below average. We will miss their energy.

I wouldn't mind Kreider staying up, assuming he was given a larger role. That wasn;t going to happen though, so CT is best.

Miller, yeah. The kid will be a player some day but he isn't ready.

Really, what is the purpose of having fresh legs in the lineup who have the ability to score? Trudge along Rangers, trudge along. The only positive is these three don't have to listen to the Clown for the next little while until he is ousted and they are returned; likely next season.

Fresh legs only help if you know how to use them. If you're a liability, it doesn't really matter how fast you can move. And what ability to score are you talking about? They have a combined 14 points so far.

i dont think so...i think both kids have played themselves out of the lineup....the managemetn has a choice....live with the mistakes knowing it could very well cost you a playoff spot, or send them down for big minutes in CT....both choices are valid...i happen to be with the, live with their msitakes, crowd, but im ok with them sending them down.....keeping them up and playing 2-3 mins is the bad way to go.

This is true if you trust Torts' way of judging effectiveness.

Finally! It's about ****ing time. Miller had no business playing in the NHL yet, and Kreider hasn't done all that much since returning to suggest that he belongs here, either.

Well done. Would've liked to see Fasth before sending him down, but giving him some time to adjust to the rink size might be a good thing!

And they have been given good ice time and ample opportunity to be creative? Torts says they are a liability. I do not trust his ability to recognize a liability; see Brian Boyle.

Long overdue.

Miller was a nice surprise, I think. Even though he clearly isnt ready for the NHL.

No other way to describe Kreider's season other than a massive disappointment.

It's a good call.. With the addition of MZA and clowe where do you put kreider? He's certainly not better then both the players we added at this time.. It was the right move for both player.. Now they all go to CT play together as a line and run ahit down there.. Rather them play top mins then play bottom 6 in nhl.. You don't ruin prospects by sending them up and down.. They are the future.. Good move IMO

My understanding is that Fasth always was going to be sent down from the minute they brought him over from Sweden. This is the right move for his development. Let him adjust to the rink size in AHL.

Let me clarify.

I like this move. I don't like how Kreider has been handled this year. Whether he himself has earned his promotions or not, shuffling him to play 4 minutes a game is bad management. Both should have been in Connecticut long ago.

No, they haven't been given that because neither of them has come close to earning it over a period of more than one game. I'm saying they are a liability based on how they've been playing, you don't have to trust me, but it's my opinion none the less.

Kreider and Fast are down with Whale, but Miller only was sent down to be eligible for AHL playoffs. He's back with Rangers

Guess everyone is outside enjoying the weather, or working like a normal human?

JT Miller back to the Whale today.

#NYR re-assign rookie J.T. Miller to #CTWhale. Not a surprise with no spot in lineup for him right now.

Good, now we can save him from accruing an NHL season for free agency purposes.

Oh wait.

Yup let them both go make a deep run in the AHL playoffs and come to camp next year ready to make some noise.
