FTR and Wardlow are in a throw-away match at the PPV.

Oh, it will be a fun one for sure, but it does nothing to advance anything.

I think that's my biggest gripe with AEW in the last little while. It becomes all about the different matches and the stories are suffering. Their storytelling has dipped a lot recently. I know the injuries and the internal drama are not helping, but the show is not as fun as it used to be.

Cole and O'Reilly are injured. Omega could have used more time off. They have the PPV coming up, I understand that, but the Elite winning the trios title is not the money match they think it is. The money match is with Undisputed... and it was not going to happen at the PPV.

They put the title on the Bucks just to have them drop them like a week later. FTR are red hot and the rubber match with the Bucks is a money match. Much more than the Elite winning the trios title NOW! Do the right thing, but FTR over the Bucks, use THAT to have Cole turn on them and bring Kenny back. Build the feud for the next PPV.

So, to me, either Tony is a moron for booking it that way or the Bucks lobbied for it to happen.

EDIT: Just saw that Fightful Select posted that Fish's contract was not being renewed. L...O...L!

The Black stuff seems to me to be lesser dirt sheet writers seeing Black's cryptic social media lately that some interpreted he was unhappy and extrapolated on it to try and be first in case it was true.

They f***ers always get away with it as they later just go "plans changed"

They do change, though. We've had episodes of Raw go to air while they were still re-writing the show.

Because Jay White is is awesome and Okada is their version of Cena (Okada is also awesome just Okada winz lol happens too much)

And this is coming from someone who loves Ospreay. Maybe we get Ospreay vs Omega for the US at WK (wishful thinking) and then probably Ospreay vs. Okada at Dominion, since he's definitely beating White at WK.

Swerve in Our Glory vs The Acclaimed receiving almost no build is just awful booking. Both teams and the belts deserve better. Could be the match of the night. Swerve in Our Glory winning the belts was a big moment but they've been booked terribly ever since.

Starks/Hobbs should've been built up better too. It had momentum a month ago but has cooled off since.

Would rather see Pac/Sabian main event or open Dynamite then be on the pre show. Makes the All Atlantic belt seem more meaningless than it already is.

The build for Moxley/Punk has been odd but their promos on Dynamite were great and I'm intrigued to see what happens.

JB/Cage definitely had the best build up. Jade/Athena and Danielson/Jericho had decent builds. I'm not really interested in the former tho and the latter is very predictable.

I'm expecting the Joker to be MJF. I like Orange Cassidy but would be really disappointed if it's him. I'd be much more disappointed if it's Morrissey who I can't stand and wish they hadn't signed. I could live with it being Samoa Joe. Maybe Cole is healthy and makes a surprise return.

I absolutely hate The Acclaimed being in the title match. I f***ing love The Acclaimed(everybody loves The Acclaimed) but this is a throwaway title shot with no build and no chance of a title switch. And there shouldn’t be! Unless they build a story about them being soundly defeated cause they’re just not ready, then start the climb. They absolutely need to be champs one day. That is not today. That should not even be in 2022. No way.

That only happened because Johnny Ace abd Vince filled up their diaps, and even then Vince was still bringing them back. Were they or were they not released?

There has been no public comment from AEW or Black on this story but it is worth noting that Black is one of the names that Triple H pushed in NXT and WWE has reportedly reached out to several AEW talent in recent weeks. Dave Meltzer reported the following in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter about people who were contacted:

"Regarding the talent approached by WWE, as we noted last week it was multiple people, generally the people who had worked with Paul Levesque in the past in NXT. Several told AEW which led to the legal letter sent to Levesque, Stephanie and Nick Khan. There was at least one person who asked for his release, which hasn’t been granted and the person has a long time left on his deal."
