They are factual numbers. It's you who keeps trying to move the goalposts for your agenda.

You cry that he needs to "earn his PP time" but yet he #2 in ES goals. How else is he suppose to earn his PP time?

He's 5th on the team in goals over his time here, 2nd in ES goals, and 3rd in G/60. He is a top goal scorer on a team with Zibanejad, Kreider, and Panarin. He leads his draft year in goals scored and is 3rd in G/60 (the other 2 haven't even played 60 games yet).

This isn't goalpost moving. He is producing in the limited ice time he is getting. He isn't in a situation where he gets spoonfed PP time because the franchise has no one else. He isn't comparable to other 1OA picks development. He has played with Chytil and a plug for most of his career, no shit he has no assists. I dont know what you want from the situation we have put him in.

Among skaters averaging 14 minutes of ice time/game or less over the last 2 seasons, Laf is 2nd in goals and 8th in points.

We are doing this to his overall production. Players who get this little ice time cannot produce more.

He's 6th (5th among forwards). 7th in 5v5 P/60, which is higher than Fox

Not arguing that he should be in the top 6 right now. I just think its unfair to expect elite production while he's playing 13 minutes on a good night with Chytil and a revolving door of AHLers

Kreider had 21 points in his first 89 games and was 21/22 in those seasons.

Zib has 14 points in 51 games in his first 2 seasons as a teenager.

Huberdeau had 59 points in his first 117 games as a 19/20 year old

Not every teenager is McDavid

They seem to conveniently get forgotten about whenever the kids line is together. It’s infuriating that they’re always the first ones benched.
 
He needs to shoot more.

People on the main boards who disappoint their parents: "ALL Of hIs goaLs ArE tAP Ins"

That's the only time he shoots.

The Rangers need to a find a center for Lafreniere. Chytil has been good in that spot recently. Chytil is hurt. Again. The Rangers can't afford a 3rd line center who makes big money. Someone in Chytil's price range or they just go with Chytil. Chances are Chytil won't play a full 82 game season.

Chytil and Motte injuries are so bad because you can’t play Lafreniere and Kakko together. Are better now than the start of the season but the bottom six is going to be an issue again until at least Chytil is healthy because they are unbalanced again.

Unfortunately if he was just Chris Kreider or even Mika Zibanejad I’d be somewhere between a little disappointed and very disappointed.

Huberdeau is better but even that took a real long time to arrive at where he is this year.

I think you have to roll with Chytil and suffer the injuries. Too much talent if he can put it together. I’d like to move on to a young star too, but not to a regular guy you can pay $2m. That’s a sub Goodrow veteran, no thanks.

If we do get a young stud center he’s probably going into the top 6 to replace Strome.

unfortunately or fortunately GG is not touching the top 6 the way it is. They are playing really well.
The kids are just gonna have to figure it out and find a way to contribute.

I wonder what kind of package rangers get if they sell both together? Right now there is some value and its good to sell when you see yellow flags instead of red ones. I sell cut bait and get best offer.
 
If they traded Kakko I'd be so f***ing pissed off. He clearly has skill, just needs more time to build up confidence and play with some cockiness as well... Laf however, I'm still not sure about him but it seems so soon to give up.
