He had 3 shot attempts
3 huh? i'm looking at the espn game boxscore. he had 2 SM'S. i probably missed them as i was in flipping channels between this and the giant game and also checking out pawg porn. so yeah if i somehow overlooked those 3 shots then hey. good news for me is the vikes lost, the rangers didn't get killed and virgo peridot has a real nice phat ass.

You couldn't find more 0's in this can than on Laf's scoresheet in the last 10 games even if you were starving to death.

I’m sure glad moving him onto the first powerplay unit was going to save this guy. Really lighting it up out there. Now that’s he’s on the top powerplay it’s gone MIA for the most part. Geez it’s almost like he’s just not very good right now.

Maybe he will be but he’s terrible right now. Against putrid competition vs Montreal he somehow looked invisible like usual.

How many points did Kakko have through his first 178 games?

I’m apparently a masochist so I’m legitimately interested to know.
Can't help you completely here, but he is currently sitting at 201 games and having 76 pts..... so I'm thinking it gives you an idea of what you want to know :)

One thing that make me feel a little better (barely), is outside Chytil and Vesey, just about every forward has been underwhelming at ES this year. That on its own doesn’t mean Laf will be any good, but it does seem better than if everyone was firing on all cyclinders and Laf was just on an island stinking up the joint all by his lonesome. He’s def stinking up the joint, but he’s far from alone.

My hope is, if it’s something structural that is dragging everyone down 1-2 notches, then maybe it can be addressed. Getting more speed in the lineup might be a good start.

In the playoffs the Kid line was the only line that could get through the neutral zone with speed and flow. Now GG has coached that out of the kids too. What's the point really?

No...they hired Tanner Glass, who has limited experience in developing anyone much less himself. The guy was still playing hockey 4 years ago, how much experience could he have....wtf are we hiring him to develop players? They could have hired anyone they wanted.
Maybe they were trying to think outside the square by hiring him.
He coaches the players by telling them what not to do as forwards.
Or just replays vids of him scoring on the great Carey Price.

Finally for the night, I just want to say that if you're not remotely or slightly concerned about Laf's progress, you're delusional. If there was a team where the kid could break out and make something of it, a game at home against the Habs would be it. You're getting exactly what you asked for, Laf Stans. Top line, top line minutes, PP1 minutes, and still the same exact Laf before he was picking up 18-21 minutes a night.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
