just ban this moron, we are talking too much about him at this sad moment
something worse than pettiness going on there.Pettiness has no bounds….
It’s all veiled Ovechkin/Russia hate…..comes with the title GOAT….something worse than pettiness going on there.
I've lost a parent at a younger age than Ovechkin is now, but it did not miraculously cancel my other duties in life and I wasn't even compensated nearly as generously for them. Like I said, it's fine to prioritize and re-evaluate things in life but it doesn't mean you can just eat the cake and keep it too. The very least Ovechkin should have done when choosing to walk away from his team is also give away his C to someone who's ready for that responsibility.

I don’t see it. 45 goals would be a tremendous accomplishment.36 goals, 17 games left, despite all his setbacks this season, OV still has a very good chance of reaching
50 goals this year and breaking the record.
OV: "Never tell me the odds!"I don’t see it. 45 goals would be a tremendous accomplishment.
Hitting 50 this year would be his most impressive accomplishment to date, I think, or at least in the top three. With all of the injuries to the team, him missing games due to the passing of his father, the team falling off and a fire sale of veterans ensuring, the power play sucking, and Kuznetsov playing beer league hockey… for him to hit 50 goals while playing 76 or 77 games (which is a 53 goal pace over the full 82 games) at age 37 under those circumstances would be bonkers.
Shanahan had 40 as well. Most goals age 37 season:
1. Bucyk - 40
2. Ovechkin - 39
3. Sakic - 36
4. Esposito - 34
5. Beliveau - 33
The site I used considered that his age 36 season.Shanahan had 40 as well.
Ah, ok. I looked at hockey-reference.comThe site I used considered that his age 36 season.
Yes it looks like Shanahan played 47 games (22 goals) that year as a 36 year old and 35 games (18 goals) at age 37.Ah, ok. I looked at hockey-reference.com
Either way, Ovie will be #1 soon enough.
