So....how's Gordin doing for the Ska of MHL-VHL-KHL?

and he's back in he MHL, after his 2 trips to the VHL where he didn't dress for any games.

After starting out red hot in the MHL with 11 pts in 6 games, he's got just 1 pt in the last 3 games, though there were 2 trips to the VHL in between those games but he picked a bad time to go cold if he had any shot at the WJC's which wasn't great to begin with but he was leading the MHL in ppg so had he kept that up maybe he could have worked his way onto the roster as a 4th liner, or PP specialist since he is nasty on the PP.

I believe he is under contract in Russia for another year. So chances are if he ends up getting signed, it will be in May 2022. Contracts in Russia expire in May.
Can't seem to find his contract on the internet, weird. Hopefully he can sign sooner than later, he has some good tools to work with so I'd rather see him in Laval for a good 2-3 years than being yoyo'ed between the KHL VHL and MHL.

I said it before and I repeat myself lol but I don't know why the f*** KHL teams do that, he's an overager 6th rounder, it's not like he has game breaking talent and will leave for the NHL before he's 20... Sucks for Gordin

I agree. It is hard to understand how they handle their prospects in Russia. And I also agree with you @The Borque Supremacy with wanting Gordin in Laval rather than being yo-yo'ed.

As for his contract, I saw it somewhere online, if I find it, I will post it on here.

Maybe he said he wants to come over here after his contract is done, maybe he's just not that good (i really don't know much about him) It's been said before, most russian player's that are committed to play over the pond are not treated fairly (if you look at it from a N-A point of view of course), i don't really blame KHL teams for not wanting to invest in a player they're gonna lose no matter what, i get it, it's still a bit frustrating to see since i don't like seeing any prospect playing under 12/13mins a game in any league... I understand their position but i definitely don't like it

I get it and i think it's fair from a KHL standpoint, but why bring him up a week or 2 in the VHL/KHL to let him sit in the stands? Or make him play 2 VHL games with a whopping 2:30 average ice-time? He'll catch a cold on the bench FFS. And it's not even from a hockey perspective at that point, it's from a human one, it just seems like a dickhead move and if I was in his shoes, I'd be pissed and would promptly leave once my contract is up. They should act another way if they want to retain talents in Russia... Same thing happened with Romanov, they only played him before the WJC to get him ready. Back to 8 minutes a night after his dominant showing (twice!) Just bad management from a human perspective IMO.

I think Gordin is one of my favourite prospects.

Would be awesome to leverage the newfound Russian connection in Romanov to bring him over sooner than later

I can't say i'm a fan as his skating is not good and he needs to move his feet way more. I actually like Khisamutdinov a little more, he doesn't have as good of a shot but skates better and is much more involved physically to the point he can be a bit dirty at times.
