One thing I will say is, I’m really loving this coach so far. Rewarding players with extra ice time for playing well because you’re gonna have to earn your ice time is a good thing to see. And just seeing him talking to the players on the bench or after a period, actual communication, actual teaching and instilling values like, play better and play smarter and you’ll play more rather than I’m just gonna play you because you’re the star. Still makes me so sad that if we had this coach last year (a good coach is what I’m saying lol ) With his style and communication and a goalie that was just passable It could’ve been an amazing year.
I mean, there’s a long way to go, there was some sloppy play and some mistakes but still it’s a very young team, but it’s definitely a much different vibe than last year. Dare I say an actual team vibe rather than a bunch of star players try to rack up points For themselves.
