To be honest I'm starting to have a Habs fatigue these days.... not because they are not very good, but because of all the injuries for the past two three years. I'm just....tired, I don't know how to explain it. I guess I would like to see Dach,Pinard,Harris,Xhekaj,Newhook and see them grow but they all fall down.
I know what you mean. All these injuries are injuring my heart as well... C'est plate.

Right there with you. It’s a killer, development wise. You need “wind in your sails” sometimes and this constantly happening just break momentum for the individuals and the team. It’s maddening.

Out till late Feb... Likely will be a bit rusty in his first 2-3 weeks back, but will be rested compared to the guys with 60-70 games of wear & tear.

Hopefully he can finish off the year with a solid 10-15 game stretch of productive play so that he heads into the off season with some confidence.

Was pacing 25g/45pt career best season in his first pro deployment in top 6 role.

Bump in the road but I think he's going to be a 30+g 70+pt player for us in his prime.

Future is bright 😎

Had a bad ankle sprain once, took a good year to heal fully. Lots of time in the pool and an exercise standing on a towel on the floor and curling it under your feet (worked well!). Should take the time he needs to come back.

Sucks he got hurt, but the upside is limited with him I think. Hope the high sprain doesn’t cause long term lingering issues.

Great!! He’s not a top 6 forward imo, he can slot in for injuries, but if he’s in your top 6 on purpose your team isn’t good enough.
How do you figure? He's 22-years-old. Still very much developing.

By definition, there are 192 Top-6 forwards in the NHL. Newhook was on pace for 46 points. Do you know where that would have placed him last year? 125th, which makes sense considering he was right around there in production this year.

Newhook's production rate is extremely close to Dach's production rate last year.

Newhook was developing very nicely. And once he was away from the black hole that is Josh Anderson, you saw start to flourish a bit.

Our sarcasm detectors must be broken?nder.
He is a top 6 forward talent. If the Habs have forwards good enough that he is on the 3rd line they will be a contender.

I don't see how Newhook isn't a top six. He was having a solid year and improving. He's never going to lead the league in scoring but he's got a great shot and is a terrific skater.

Unfortunately... our potential guys keep getting hurt. So we may never know.

Newhook and Dach... the two guys we traded for. f***ing brutal.

Same. I was SOOOO looking forward to watching the Newhook - Dach - Slaf line this season...

If Newhook becomes a 30+ goal-scoring machine who tops out at 70 points,I'll be ecstatic, especially since he'll redoing that on a third line once Hughes adds an elite winger or two.

Newhook could be a 20+ goal, 50-point 3rd liner with Beck and Roy...
