Except RHP last year!Every time you get him away from Anderson he looks better. And that's also the case for most fwds on this team.

Lol it's petty butAndy is just awful this year.
His main issue is he loses most of his board battles...and although he's fast on a straight line he isn't explosive enough and has difficulties to separate himself. Add to that that he's on the smaller side and that makes him a pretty limited player. This player is not my cup of tea.
He's good at zone entries, especially on the PP, but other than that he doesn't bring a whole lot.
He's still young, so I'm not giving up, but he was particularly hard to watch tonight.
I’m sure they are heart broken.Lol it's petty but
When someone gets to this point of stinkage for me, they lose their nickname
That's why I haven't called him "Gally" in a long time but he's getting close to getting it back from me
But Anderson? Ca va prendre beaucoup
My grandma is awful at NHL hockey. Anderson is worse.Andy is just awful this year.
I don’t think he’s much different than say last year.My grandma is awful at NHL hockey. Anderson is worse.
A big figure skater is what he is. To think that people here didnt want to trade him for a first last year, LOL
I'm just too lazy to write his full name.Lol it's petty but

Last year (years), he was mostly doing bone head plays from times to times. This year, he's trying to be fancy with the puck (just to lose it) and floating around/skating in the wrong direction way too much when he doesn't have the puck. Anyhow this is the Newhook thread.I don’t think he’s much different than say last year.
He just didn’t burry the few chances he’s had since the start of the season that maybe he would have last year. It’s like he did enough to make some people think he’s actually good and this year he’s not even doing that
Not a top liner but I think he could be a second line winger and that’s just fine.I am still mitigated on Newhook.
I think he is what he is but expectations should be a middle sixer with a lot of speed. He also has a pretty good shot but i don't think there is top line upside here.
Its pretty good and we need this depth and his speed but i think in his prime he is a 50-60 points sub 6ft LW.
We ve got ourselves an average player but we also gave pretty average picks for him.
Im fine with all of that.
If Slaf pans out with Suzuki CaufieldNot a top liner but I think he could be a second line winger and that’s just fine.
Joshua Roy will be with us next year. I have high hopes. If Slaf pans out with Suzuki Caufield
And Newhooks only game with Dach he scored 2 goals...
You MAY have something there..
It'll take 1 more top 6 forward trade.. and we have to KNOCK it out of the PARK
He is what he is. Looks like a 40-50 point winger. Not sure I see more hidden potential there like we saw with Dach last year.I thought he was one of the better habs tonight which isn't saying much. 6 pts in 11 games is a solid start to the season.
And so far he has mostly played with crap so there is no way to know what he is capable of.Thus far not worth what we paid.
Thus far not worth what we paid.
A plug? When he’s fully seasoned he’ll be a reliable plug and play top 9 LW with speed. Hoping he’d be Dach trade 2.0 always seemed far fetched
Trade bait in a few yearsI am still mitigated on Newhook.

Could be a really good 3rd liner, if he doesn't make it as a top 6 forward. He seems to be close to what I remembered. I don’t think he’s a top 6 forward on a contender. On the mediocre Canadiens he will fit right in.
He hasn’t regressed. He is who he is.I find the swings in attitude towards players here so interesting. Many opinions seem to change with the wind, and a 5-10 game stretch seems to determine a young players whole future career.
Newhook was traded because he couldn’t produce as a 2C. He started well playing on the wing and showed his skills and speed while still adapting to a new system, coach and team mates. People were praising the trade.
Recently he’s been asked to step up and cover the 2C role, with a worse supporting cast than he had in Colorado, and all of a sudden he sucks and is not worth the acquisition cost. Has he regressed that quickly and lost the same speed and skills he was being praised for, or are people expectations to high for him at 2C?
The kids has skills and speed and can help the club moving forward. He hasn’t developed enough yet to have a real impact at C, but he can certainly contribute as a complementary winger. Give him sometime, he’s 22 years old and is not a final product yet.
