Might be management that needs a change of scenery.Sadly management doesn't see Ylonen as anything but a spare forward, he needs a change of scenery

Sujre, Dach may even be a first line center down the road. I have no issue with Dach.Bernie Nicholls had 150 points in 88-89 playing with the Great One and Gretzky had 168 only. I'll let you figure out which player was better cause the small points difference can be misleading here I think Beck will be a 3rd line center if he develops. Out 2nd line center moving forward will be Dach if he can remain healthy.
Suzuki and CC have atleast done alright so far compared to the 2nd line - which has produced sweet f*** all. Monahan taking the 2C spot is a more urgent need.
See if Slaf can do anything with Monahan, or he goes to play with Roy.
Anderson doesn't need anything. Just put him with the worst 2 guys and let him skate aimlessly around the ice.I like MSL, but I don't know know why he obsessed with trying to make Slef-Newhook-Anderson work.
Personally, I don't like it, not so much because of Newhook at center, but more because 9f the mix of players, all are more scorers than distributers.
I'd more like to see:
Caufield Suzuki Slaf
RHP Newhook/Monahan Anderson
Or if Slaf isn't going to get a shot on the first line:
Caufield Suzuki Dvo/Pearson
RHP Newhook Anderson
Slaf Monahan Dvo/Pearson
The problem I have with putting Monahan or Newhook on the first line and then Dvo as the 3c, is it pushes either RHP, Slaf or Anderson either to the 4th line or to the 3rd line to play with Dvo and Pearson. They need more offense to play with than that.
With Dach and Dvorak out, the habs only have 3 centres on the roster. Newhook is the only other player with centre experience. He's not a center, and putting him with a raw Slafkovsky and Anderson who is brainless.. doesn't make that any easier.
Marty has legit criticisms here where he's doing wrong by Slafkovsky and Newhook.
With Dach and Dvorak out, the habs only have 3 centres on the roster. Newhook is the only other player with centre experience.
With better centre depth, I doubt Newhook ever gets a sniff at centre.
Anderson doesn't need anything. Just put him with the worst 2 guys and let him skate aimlessly around the ice.
Yes, I would like to see Ylonen there.Newhook cannot cycle to save his life. He needs to be on a quick strike line. He worked well with Anderson because theyre both the same, they don't cycle at all.
Slafkovsky isn't a fit for this line, at all. He likes to slow the pace, grind it out, take it to the outside, wait for the play to settle. Slaf would be a lot better served with Monahan and Pearson.
There's no one currently to play with Alex and Andy. Maybe Evans, but he's needed on the 4th line.
I'd try Ylonen.
Nor should he. Slafs been assYes, I would like to see Ylonen there.
But with Dvo coming back, it looks like Newhook will be on the wing.
I'd like to see Slaf with Monahan or Suzuki.
Caufield - Suzuki - Slaf
Newhook - Monahan - Anderson
Pearson - Dvo - Gallagher
Armia - Evans - Ylonen
But MSL won't do Slaf with Suzuki.
He needs to play with a center with good hockey sense.Nor should he. Slafs been ass
He needs to play with a center with good hockey sense.
I could see MSL going:Needs to play with a player that can slow the game down for him if they want to keep him in the NHL. Monahan seems like the perfect fit.
Think they try it once Dvorjak is back.
Newhook is a 2nd line winger through and through. He's not a center
I thought he was one of the better habs tonight which isn't saying much. 6 pts in 11 games is a solid start to the season.
Andy is just awful this year.Every time you get him away from Anderson he looks better. And that's also the case for most fwds on this team.
