Confirmed with Link: Alex Iafallo, Rasmus Kuapri, Gabe Vilardi + 2024 2nd round pick to Winnipeg for Pierre-Luc Dubois

Re Fiala to talk about him as a 3rd liner is misleading. His value is you can play him on the 3rd line and whole line will produce thus elevating scrubs to make a 3rd scoring line.. its a unique talent... ie he doesnt gel as well (thought he did do good w RV) with other talents as he likes to have the puck on his stick 75% of the time.

He played in the 3d line year doesn't make him one lol. Draistl plays on the 2nd lien doesn't make him one.

This post above is the single stupidest thing you will read all day.

Just because you breathe air doesn't make you an air breather, right?

Kaliyev scored at a 40 point pace as a 21 year old.

You don't view him as a prospect?
If you actually watched this team you’d realize that our f***face coach only plays Kaliyev on the 4th line, if at all. The chances of him becoming anything are entering Austin Wagner territory, not because of his talent, but because our couch is a dipshit.

When your centers are Crosby and Malkin maybe.

I assume LA deals Arvy for cap space to add a goaltender so I assume you see..

Byfield - Kopitar - Kempe
Fiala - Byfield - Kaliyev
Moore - Danault - Grundstrom
X - Lizotte - Dolan

Not sure how that is a bad wing group. Especially when you can add at the deadline.

I mean I won't disagree with that.

I've met probably about 20-30 actors here in LA that were from Ohio. Quite a few from Dayton and a lot from Columbus.

While a lot of failed actors move back to their hometowns in NY, NJ, Texas, Chicago, etc. 100% of those Ohioans I met never moved back to Ohio and were in fact quite emphatic about never returning.

I can't blame Carter or PLD or the countless others that requested a trade out of Columbus or signed elsewhere. They simply can't keep and sign talent.

I'm still befuddled as to why Johnny Hockey signed there.

I mean that would be a Blake thing to do. Zero right handed forwards? Sign him up!

3rd LD is the perfect deadline deal.
OK so I guess your pencilling Moore there going the other way? I can live with that, but Blake seems to undervalue size and grit to a fault.. so Id like to see evidence that is important to making a playoff run. Based on his drafting and half his trades it seemed he thought he could field an entire team of circus midgets and have success post season.

Well, with this deal official, guess the question is how the team lines up now:

Byfield - Kopitar - Kempe
Fiala - Dubois - Kaliyev
Moore - Danault - Arvidsson
Grundstrom - Lizotte - Fagemo/JAD/Thomas/???

Anderson - Doughty
Gavrikov - Clarke
Bjornfot - Roy
Spence

Copley
???

I assume Arvy is dealt as a cap dump.
