I can't wait till when development camp starts. We'll get more awkward interviews with GR and Harv shoving their phones in his face.

As long as it's not some coked out, yahoo throwing cheap merch in Barkov's face and asking about how much he likes a cardboard cut out of one of his co-workers.

Jesus some people need to chill out, and also stop taking any type of criticism as an abhorrent attack....does Jblow not speak English and is not from NA? As long as Barkov is a great hockey player and helps our club I could care less if he's Marty Brodeur on his personal life... It still does not take away from the fact he has the personality of a pine nut, there's no need make excuses for it honestly

I have lived in capital region for my entire life and i rarely use my english.

I live in the capital too and I use it a lot. But most likely I use it more because If I hear someone speaking with an American accent when I'm out or at a bar I go talk to people. Most likely too because I'm not 100% Finnish as I was born in USA but my parents are Finnish. Culture differences. But this has caught onto a lot my friends. But I do admit Finns look at me weird many times because I'm so open

Holy crap, I saw that clip a long time ago with my friend and we could not stop laughing! That wa so ****ing funny and the best part is the end when he actually demonstrates it with his fist going upwards through his other hand.:laugh:

Agreed.

This is other Fin athlete star in Finnish Ski-jumping legend Matti Nykänen, interview is after when he was opening night in Norway. This movie it's for Nykänen's life documentary movie and the guy who's translate Nykänen is Finnish actor who was main role in that movie. :sarcasm:

Probably only true Alcoholist in the World with 4 olympic golds, who has even won competitions drunken.. It's legendary, but also very sad. Glad hes somewhat sober these days. But the booze has done its work to he's brains thought. Even thought he had some succes in the sports, I wouldn't compare any normal sportsman, even lot of partying one, to matti, who is absolutely in hes own league - and hopefully he stays in he's own league forever. -.-

Barkov's english isn't even that bad. Its more like he's shy because of he's age and personality will probably evolve when he gets confidence. Räikkönen was very uncomfortable when he was young too.

As far as his English goes, he didn't showcase it last night at the SSO skate. When he ran out of pictures to sign he banged on the table to get more instead of just asking.

Did he say "perkele!"? I just hope he doesn't become a cocky ahole like Jokinen did after he was drafted. Well he was that even before that but got worse after going 3rd overall

From what I know, other than very, very small talk like "thanks," he didn't say a word. No perkele.

Not a chance. OJ already owned Helsinki before going to LA. Or at least OJ thought he did.

Maybe this is the dry humour Tallon was talking about.
