What problems has he encountered playing in the AHL?
I am not sure what the team thinks, but in my opinion, he jumps up on offence a little too much for my liking. If he was better at it, thats one thing, but I have seen him out of position a little too much, forcing our forwards to defend in the defensive zone where he should be. He was also making some bad turnovers that were leading directly to goals against. Also, with the current defensemen we have, he is kind of the odd man out. Dillon Simpson left the game after the first shift, so if he is hurt, Knazko may draw in tomorrow.

Playing the Marlies, the Monsters are being forced to play a fast game. We'll see how they hold up. 0-0 so far.

Luoto with the shortie late in the 1st. Nice kill, down to a 3 on 5 kill after C. Sillinger trip. Still 20 seconds to kill in the 2nd. Monsters keeping up with Toronto so far. This is one of those games that has an NHL pace to it. Tarasov 13/13 so far. He needs a good game real bad. 1-0.

Monsters give up 2, Angle then ties it. Tarasov probably wants the second goal back, but otherwise playing well. 2 goals on 28 shots. Monsters keeping up, 2-2 after 2. Sillinger had a nice chance, also Jiricek just missed on a shot from the point.

Tarasov big save on the penalty shot in OT. Then TFW wins it. Great game.
Tarasov with 37 saves on 39 shots. He really needed this. Need to do it again tomorrow in Toronto.

How did Cole look?

Tarasov just went down on the penalty shot and the guy shot it into his pads. Good to be big I guess.

It was Ceulemans who got stripped which led to the breakaway and penalty shot.

I watched about half the game (stream quality gives me a headache) and I caught Cole on 4 powerplays. He definitely overhandled it at times which cost the PP.

Ceulemans lost it, but I thought he made a nice recovery. I've seen that play called with no penalty shot, and with. Guess it depends on the ref.
Cole was also on some PK's. His tripping penalty came on the kill and put them down 2 men. They killed it though, and scored on it.

Monsters up 3-0 after 2. Chinakov back in, as is Knazko. Game is on NHL network. Chinakov has an assist, Ceulemans also has an assist. Will start the 3rd with over 3 minutes PP time.

Are Chinny and Silly playing on the same line?

4-0 win for the Monsters, looks like a nice effort and something good for the weekend we can all cheer for.

He was listed with his brother and Fonstead on the line up graphic. That was before Chinakov was listed as playing. I missed the first two periods so didn't see.

Game just ended. 4-0 Monsters. Greaves with the shutout. Meyer, Fonstead, and Achan (2) with the goals. Nice job picking up 4 points against Toronto. Now have to get 2 more tomorrow against Rochester.

Edit: Looking at the scoresheet, Chinakov and Cole assisted on Fonstead's goal in the 2nd, so it looks like they ended up on the same line.

Sunday is a big day for Monsters. Head to head matchup with Rochester, a regulation win for the good guys would put us two points out of 4th place in the division! Syracuse (vs Utica) and Laval (vs Manitoba) both playing teams with better records than them.

There is a TFW sized hole on the 1st line RW but im still excited for Chinakhov+Sillinger. Wonder how explosive Chinakhov will look
He looked good yesterday in what I saw. He seems to be moving well. Definitely missing TFW and Christainsen.

I want to see a Owen Sillinger - Cole Sillinger - Cole Fonstad line. Your could call it the Cole and/or Sillinger line.

Jiricek just laid out a guy with a solid open ice body check. Barely saw it as AHLTV had a little issue during it. Down 1-0, looking sluggish as this is the 3rd in 3 days. On the PP now and still looking slow, giving up short handdd chances.

Edit: got out of the 1st down 1-0. Tarasov has his work cut out for him facing 16 shots. The goal was a deflection in front of the net. He has been solid so far. Monsters only generate 6 shots.

Monsters give up a PP goal to go down 2-0. Tarasov taken out after the goal, so he may be hurt again. Tarasov and the trainer in the locker room.

Down 3-0. Not looking good. Team looks very slow and tired. Not expecting much this game.
