Adidas Bruins uniforms

I don't think they change them every game; if you literally had 899 (holy opening night milestone, Batman!) Patrice Bergeron game-worn jerseys out in circulation, they wouldn't be as valuable. Supply and demand.

The official supplier, MeiGray, has pictures of the jerseys in stock, but I wonder...maybe they have one or two jerseys of each type in stock, and when a jersey gets sold, MeiGray gets a replacement used jersey from the Bruins, and the Bruins issue a new jersey to the player. In theory, that would keep the inventory low, and match supply to demand. (FYI, a game-worn Loui Eriksson jersey costs $700. WTF?!?!)

I think I'll be okay with the new jerseys. I can't imagine them doing anything too drastic to a classic, and the tidbits they've shown aren't awful. I prefer the old black border on the text, but I can live with the new style.

All that said, I definitely won't be rushing out to get a new jersey...I've already decided my next jersey will be Orr. Just have to figure out what style, where to buy, and if I want to shell the dough to Fanatics for what they had on there awhile back.

I wouldn't mind a less valuable Bergeron jersey if that meant I could get one, cheap! Personally I think jersey prices are outrageous. I have bought three in my lifetime. Two John LeClair (my original favorite player, please forgive the team) and one Bergeron. The only authentic was the LeClair home. I don't foresee me buying another jersey, so I'll be sad when the Bergy one wears out.

I like the serifs on the new font. I assume that will change on the captains letters too, which will look better, I think.

Oh, and yes, game 900 on opening night is a great Bergeron milestone. Sure hope it is a home game!

Im a sucker, once I bought an authentic Edge 2.0 i cant buy Anything else. Cost me $560  that being said, not much better than a Bergeron BostonStrong jersey

My days of spending hubdreds of dollars on shirts have passed.

I was disappointed with the drop in quality on the replicas when Reebok took over from CCM/Koho.

The number, name and shoulder patches were trash.

While the new uniforms will be announced next week it appears they will not be available for sale locally until later this summer. It is unclear if they will be available online.

Wait. What? That's so NHL typical...get people excited about something, and deliver it in the crappiest way possible. I mean, the timing's reasonable - if I'm wearing a jersey in June, it's because I'm watching a duckboat with people in matching jerseys holding a giant silver cup.

But making the jerseys available in the Pro Shop (powered by...Adidas?) only? Absolutely stupid. Not all fans can make the trek. The shop's actually nicely laid out, but in 2015-6 when it was new, lines could be quite formidable - I remember finding a WC lanyard last year, and then putting it back when I saw the line to buy it in the mini-Pro Shop in the concourse.

Making it exclusive to the Pro Shop for a week or two in September? Okay. But I'd think you really want fans in their new Adidas gear on opening night...particularly if the jerseys are noticeably different. Jersey sales can be viral - if people see jerseys at the game, they'll buy them.

i will NEVER buy from the proshop again.

i ordered a McAvoy shirt. after a week it hadnt been shipped. i called and they said they were out of stock and would bump me to overnight when they came in. ok then cool..

almost a month later, nothing. they wouldn't reply to my calls, emails, or even twitter messages. i eventually had to file a claim through my bank to get my 38$ back.

worst shopping experience I've ever had.

if the jerseys are proshop only, I'm buying from China.

If anyone has a problem with the Bruins Pro Shop please send me a PM and I can at least guarantee that senior managers will be made aware of the issue. Alicat and others can vouch for that.

Here's the new Nashville uniform, I think this is the first of the ones Adidas is altering.

My question is this;

How much say does the team have over the design of the uniform?

Does Addidas just put something together and say; "here you go, this is what you're wearing".

Kind of dumb, if that is the case.

Agreed. No way I'm wasting my hard earned money on that stuff. I've moved on...to hookers and blow.

They got rid of the ugly stuff but there's not much else going on. A little blue on the shoulders or more traditional stripes on the bottom could save it.

I think they're ugly but it's not my team so I don't care that much. If they went more traditional then they'd run the risk of looking too much like a Bruins jersey from a distance and we already get enough of that from the Penguins

Agreed, I like the less is more look.

Losing the piping and collar horns are improvements, but, overall, it does feel a bit practice jersey-y. Also, it is bad form to have the bottom hem to be one solid color that matches the color of the pants, makes it look like a very small jersey. Like how St. Louis looks funny with the dark blue on the bottom. You need something to break it up. Opposite reason why teams like SJ that have a different colored pants don't need hem stripes, since the jersey contrasts both the home and road, but they need it on the black 3rds. Comes close to the football leotard look that so many teams haves wrongfully gone too in recent past.

And white numbers for the Blues? That doesn't look right.
