I don't expect this deal to effect on ice jerseys, especially for the first two years, as they will be made to the same specs as Adidas. But, that "authentic" line of jerseys sold retail might just fall off the cliff as the Fanatics motto has been to make products cheaper, but sell them for the same price.
But it was an NHL decision back in the Reebok days to not sell the official on-ice jerseys to the public, and that continues to haunt them. I have an "authentic" Reebok and a knock-off from 2010, and the knock-off is much better quality.
I will say that the Adidas "authentics" were pretty darn good though, just hard to find sometimes as I refused to pay for Fanatics "shirtseys"
