Adidas Bruins uniforms

I like the alteration of the numbers and name font.

I hate the black socks.

I wish the black jersey would have the gold B.

Essentially, go back to the 70s jerseys (2007 Alternates).

I agree with 90% of the posters on last page..

When I picked Boston in NHL 18 and switched between last years homes and this years the gold socks seem so perfect. I hate the black look, hated it on the old 3rds too.

Like someone said we should be trying not to look like PIT and the gold socks helped that's and looked amazing.

And yes the lettering and numbers are total Chinese knock off looking.

Seeing them in play, person, NHL 18 whatever, didn't like it at first, still don't.

I'd be alright with just going back to gold socks, but please add the black back to the name/numbers too.

Some other teams got it worse tho.

anyone know what the socks look like with the white uniforms?

they now match the hem/arm stripes. don't really like this either.

Luke Fox of SN confirms a number of teams are going ahead with changes for this season including the Bruins.

"The Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, and Ottawa Senators will join the Vegas Golden Knights in unveiling fresh duds next season."

Good to see New Jersey is getting new jerseys.

Snicker.

I like the uniform discussion as much as the next guy, but all this angst over socks? Really?

So... Folks can't have an opinion? I really don't understand posts like this. It's a discussion forum. The thread is about the uniform changes. Seeing as the socks are probably the biggest change to the Bruin's home jerseys, the majority of the conversation will be about the socks.

I didn't say you couldn't have an opinion. I said I don't understand the angst over said opinion, which is two completely different things.

I have an opinion about the uniforms, I'm just not going to go home and start drinking heavily if I don't like them.

I don't think anyone is binge drinking over the socks, the majority just don't like them.

When the Red Sox made changes in 2009, Paplebon and a handful of others spoke out because they were wearing navy socks on the road.

I doubt it, but maybe it's something that can be changed mid season if enough people complain.
Seeing them on the ice, I think the uniform may be worse than the Fleet Center uniforms.

To me, they just don't look like the Bruins with the black socks.

Do the morons who designed this white uniform realize that on TV from a distance it's damn near impossible to distinguish the yellow lines with this stripping pattern? All you see is white and black, especially in the more dimly lit arenas.

Said it the day theybwere leaked, no gold socks, and no black pin stripe to make the numbers and names pop = fail. It wasnt broke, didnt need fixing. And i was literally crucified on twitter for saying both.

Same problem I had with the pretweeked versions.

They look good in still shots and up close.

From a distance, the black swallows the gold up.
The 80s uniforms had it right with the thicker gold stripes and very thin black.

Absolutely. Up close is a non-issue. From a distance terrible.

They should go back to those 80s versions you suggested, socks and jerseys for the road whites.

Because jersey design is all about the distant look on a TV.

No it's not, but to not take it into consideration is moronic. It's a real thing and should be a factor when making design decisions.

Anyone who is paid to design sports jerseys and doesn't factor in how they appear on camera during play shouldn't be getting paid to design jerseys.
