I was pulling into an Orthopedic Sports Fitness place when I first got the Tweet notifications. I went from 1) happy to 2) we paid a bit too much to 3) whatever in about 30 seconds.
It's funny watching you guys debate whether we paid an extra third/second too much. Just enjoy it. If we gave up more than we thought we should have, well we got way better than expected from Winnipeg and Boston the previous year. We may get more from Dallas than first expected. It's all lost in the sauce. Enjoy the end product.
We added a very good prospect. These are exciting times. Look at how improved our prospect pool is compared to 15 months ago. This is going to a fun team to watch for years.
We do need someone capable of PKing on the right side there, otherwise that’s going to be a weakness of this team for years. Maybe DeAngelo grows into someone who can be effective at it. But that’s something that will need to be addressed at some point in time. Don’t know that it’s urgent for next season. But at some point.
Sad Stu Bickel is my personal faveIncorrect.

This^ is the best picture on the internet.
If he was an 18 year old defenseman and he just put up the numbers he did in the NCAA? He would be 3rd overall.SIAP but where would Fox be drafted if he was eligible this year? I assume somewhere in the first round.
I mean, LeBrun literally said they had only one team to deal with - the Rangers. That pretty much makes all other offers irrelevant. And, if LeBrun knew that we were the only team Fox would sign with, I bet other GM's knew as well. Regardless of serious offers, we held all the cards. Either you wait and lose a year of development with Fox but get him for free, or you trade for him now.
And you seem awfully gullible to believe that the Rangers were the only team to make an serious offer in the whole month (or 29 days) it’s been since Dundon said they’ll trade him. I wish you all the best with that.
Also, Rick Nash's dad and Sam eating pizza.Sad Stu Bickel is my personal fave
No, they can be different amounts and have performance and signing bonuses included or excluded. Are all 3 year ELC the same $ amount?
Something from earlier in the thread, one of the writers said they were working on finalizing a contract.Any word on Fox signing or is the last update from last month still that he is planning on going back for his senior year?
Were you going to do better with a 37 pick and a 2nd next year?
The only thing that stinks is pick #37 was supposed to be the Samuel Fagemo pick![]()
Now the Dallas-St.Louis series becomes even bigger. Losing the 37th hurts a bit. I want 2,18/19 and 28/30
Carps’ article in the Athletic today also had a quote from Gorton that said the same.Something from earlier in the thread, one of the writers said they were working on finalizing a contract.

I think probably top 10.SIAP but where would Fox be drafted if he was eligible this year? I assume somewhere in the first round.
Roughly, but no. The biggest difference is will be bonuses, but realistic bonuses normally cap out at $850,000, and even those ones are no gimmies. Are all 3 year ELC the same $ amount?
He is ahead of Miller by quite a shot. Carolina said if they could have signed him he would be playing right now much like Makar did.
