Not really no. I mean maybe he grows into it too but Werenski seems like another Foligno type captain minus the willingness to physically fight on the ice. You hear his name much more in interviews or him just speaking in general, Babcock talks about a meeting with Werenski which is slightly weird you'd think something like that happens with the captain or all of the captains. I think they like Zach a lot too and this injury time off seems like it helped him grow in the off ice area of leadership.Because it's Jiricek, right? That's where you were going with this, surely.
I don't see Werenski as super vocal, just sort of average while Boone is a mute. They'd all make fine captains. And maybe Fantilli or KJ would too.
I dont know too much of Jiricek's off ice or locker room qualities. Fantilli already seems like hes cut from that cloth of a leader though. Its nice to see these traits in the kids though, its nice to add deadline vets here and there but its best when you can develop it internally like Detroit did for years or what Boston just had
