Expect one to be traded this summer. And you know who needs a decent young LD on their team? The Jets…

Lol no f***ing way to Guhle. No. Not a chance.

The Jets have Morrissey, Dillon, Heinola, Stanley and Samberg as LD in the org. Even if Stanley and Samberg are nothing special, they don't need a decent young LD, they need forward depth and a decent young RD.

They were (reportedly) interested in Justin Barron as his brother already plays for the Jets.

Earlier in this thread he was compared to Lidstrom, Dahlin, and
Jesus. ( the guy from Nazereth ). Do you fell this is overhype?
What was compared to Lidstrom?

What part? Was it his skillset, or potential or trajectory? What was compared to Lidstom?

Guhle aint going nowhere hes a stud, our future #1 dman and he’ll be a big part of the leadership group in the locker room
He’s gonna be what Weber was to our D , a leader and mentor.

He’ll drag the team into the trenches and spearhead the charge to victory…..he’s that kind of player.

I can’t believe the Leafs drafted Amirov just before Guhle

Our LHD is pretty crowded. It will be interesting to see how KH navigates this situation.

Guhle played the right side in the NHL this year and looked just as good, Harris spent a lot of time on the right side in NCAA and Engstrom primarily has played on the right side as well.

The good news is we can afford to be patient with Hutson, Mailloux, Struble and Engstrom, plus Edmundson likely won't be around much longer.

There will likely be some tough decisions after next season depending on how much these young guys improve, however it is a great problem to have. This is a big change compared to the Bergevin era when our biggest problem was trying to decide which plug out of Alzner, Benn, Mete and Schlemko could play on the top pairing with Weber.

Guhle? Wtf. You want to trade our 21 YO number 1 D?

The list of players Id trade Guhle for starts and end with Bedard, Hughes and Mcdavid.
Come on. Makar, Fox, Heiskanen, Dahlin are all more valuable and that's just for defensemen. I value Guhle extremely high, he's an untouchable along with 22 and 14, but I think you take it a notch too far lol. I believe he can reach that level, the sky is the limit as he's the whole package, but he's not there yet and has had injuries that may or may not have a long-term impact.
