I'll give her pass. More I hear of her, more I like her. She seems to know what is going on imo. I bet some "old school" turds just dont like to hear woman voice during game.

I was going to say I didn't mind her takes or pbp much, just that I found her voice often grating and other times difficult to hear over the skating sounds. But then I listened to a full period and I'd agree that she would be bottom 5 at least, if only for the way she laughs...

I just listened/watched the OT and SO and honestly she’s not THAT bad.

I mean I’m not saying she’s good. But I don’t see what the big deal is…

First time I've heard her. I like her a lot more than Cassie Campbell but this could change, because I liked Cassie as an analyst. I actually kind of liked Leah's voice, especially in a really sloppy game like this, but there were a couple times where neither announcer seemed to know what was happening. They both seemed confused when there were 4 skaters each side in OT, after the PP.

The big deal is that if you watch a game narrated by Gord Miller and Ray Ferraro your viewing experience is enhanced. If you watch a game narrated by Leah Hextall and Cassie Campbell you want to shoot yourself in the face. Does that sound good to you? Are you in support of people shooting themselves in the face when they watch a hockey game? Just come out and say it.

She's the worst broadcaster I've ever heard. Wow she's bad. No emotion in her voice, she's monotone.

I had the Sharks game on in a different browser window today while I worked, assuming I'd be able to tune in when action picked up. Easy to do with the Sharks normal broadcast.

Almost impossible today, missed a lot. There was no buildup to action or anticipation on the play. Contrast that with Bucci's calls on the game before and it's night and day

Diversity and all but women's voice is just not working in hockey games. There are some good female commentators in Tennis and sports like that but when the pace is higher I have not heard a single female announcer who can avoid a mute button. Hextall is probably the worst.

You know their tons of bad play by play people but she is right up their with them. Her knowledge is decent, whatever. However some personalities and voices are not meant for pxp.

God she makes me cringe. Just not the right personality for this sport!

I don't want to come off sexist and won't but she needs to be pxp for a different sport. Maybe she can be a asset to the game in different capacity but as the lead play by play announcer is going to be bad for hockey and ratings.

The Coyote vs Shark game was a fine display of why she needs to be replaced.

Not all women’s voices are built the same. Kayte Christensen with the Sacramento Kings has a voice that’s very easy to hear and listen to. This lady just hits pitches that are too high to the point you can’t hear half of what she’s saying.
