I say this out of love to someone I like and genuinely respect…

We’re both roughly the same age so I feel very comfortable saying this. Aren’t we getting a little old to drop the mitts? I wish you a very speedy recovery.
In my mens league days, 1 or 2 fights would break out each season. My brother was the goalie. Trouble would usually start if someone hacked him unnecessarily. I felt like an ass after the fact, but no one was allowed to f--- with my brother.

Glad those days are long over. Only pick-up hockey for me for the past 15 years.

Can someone explain this craziness to me like I’m a 5 year old. I don’t get it.

Me and you both, Wally.

I don’t get it either. It is a pink cup. Sure it’s a massive cup of good quality but running in like an animal and tearing up the display to get one and the. Selling it for insane amounts of money is simply foolish behavior.

Bottom line, it’s a f***ing pink cup.

What it is, is a triumph of marketing directed toward reliably lemming-like consumers, also known as dolts.

Rinse and repeat. Always repeat.

Wife and I traded in our Tesla model Y for something bigger at the dealership and I forgot how painful that old fashioned process is. There’s a lot of things I don’t like about Tesla but the order and pickup process is light years ahead.

They are also getting pretty brazen with the survey they want you to take after.

Complete guilt trip as if the manufacturer is going to kidnap this guys family if he doesn’t get a perfect score. They even went so far as to give a “cheat sheet” so I know how to give him a perfect score. Sales manager comes over and says if I give him a perfect score I get 4 free oil changes.

Completely defeats the purpose of the survey

Car dealers are the absolute worst. High pressure, fake prices and hidden fees and whatnot, plus the ripoff that is their maintenance/mechanics wing they try to push you to. I don't want to play a game of negotiation, just give me a set price. Tesla's got it right, direct to consumer sales, standard transparent pricing, etc.

I've had my current car since 2013 and hoping to get at least another 3-4 years out of it. I'd really like a Tesla for my next car but we'll see where we're at then.

Surveys and ratings are getting manipulated with everything now. I once bought something off amazon that turned out to be pretty crappy, but they emailed me saying if I left a 5 star rating they'd send me a $10 amazon gift card. I like saving money and getting coupons for doing surveys, but I couldn't bring myself to lie for it.

Yea its pretty telling why they need to instruct customers to give a perfect score and give incentives to do so.

If the experience was actually that good you wouldn’t have to tell me that it effects your pay if you don’t get a perfect score.

Side not I had a 2014 (new when I bought it) car that I had paid off in 2019. I’ve worked from home since 2019 so I didn’t really care to replace it anytime soon.

Right around beginning of COVID somebody in a big red truck hit my parked car in front of my house and kept driving. I live on a side street and according to the ring camera it looked like they were driving slow looking side to side (maybe delivery driver of sorts?) and drifted into my car.

Couldn’t get plates off ring camera unfortunately. Brought the car to get fixed multiple times, there was always some noise or some rattle or driving defect they couldn’t fix. Anyway height of Covid my car was worth like double the usual value. Traded it in for a used model 3 directly from Tesla that was priced very aggressively for some unknown reason. Was a great car for a couple years until I traded up to the Y.

I'm sure you already know this, but Tesla prices have been reduced significantly of late. Good luck!

I heard it stated as "It's popular because the marketing makes people think it's popular. Like a cup version of the Kardashians."

And that's a wrap, folks.

You get the auto drive feature?

It is mind boggling.

Personally, I prefer the starbucks cups over something like the Stanley. Much easier to carry and fits nicely in my cup holder.

I just got this 25oz one earlier to replace a knockoff one that broke over the summer.

When we got the Y they threw in a month of FSD.

It was cool but Id never use it when I had the wife and 1 year old with me. I got the performance model and I felt like it would be a waste to let the car drive me everywhere.

We switched the Y for a new Sorrento PHEV. Has more room and a more comfortable ride.

But I’ll always miss the 0-60 in 3.5 the MYP had with a trunk full of groceries and a car seat in the back.

GREAT questions this week!!

1. Describe your ideal weather

70 degrees during the day, 50's at night and low humidity...weather wise living in New England, October is my favorite month for weather.

2. In honour of ol' spring-loaded shovel @Mione134 , what is the most painful thing you've ever experienced? Physically painful, that is.

I play goalie, and a few years back I had a one timer sneak up under my dangler and hit me in the throat. Hurt like crazy, and I was able to breathe, and a guy on the team who was an EMT said that since I was able to get air in, that I probably did not fracture my larynx, but it hurt and was scary!!

3. Where was the greenest place you've ever set foot?

Probably Prince Edward Island; Green fields, Blue skies and Red Sand...beautiful!

4. Which of your own physical features do you find most attractive?

Probably my hair. I have hair almost to my waist (I;m a guy...) , and while it isn't thinning too badly yet, I also tell myself that it is not turning grey, but going silver.

5. How long should one wait after starting a new relationship to get it on with the other person?\

Obviously it is different for every individual, but for me personally I need to develop a connection with someone emotionally before I am ready to move on to gettin' it on.
