I use Twitter primarily for hockey and local weather info. However, for the last two weeks I keep getting the same annoying ad coming up literally every third or fourth tweet, all from different accounts. There is no way to make it stop and believe me I have tried. It's making the Draft Kings commercials seem tolerable in comparison.

Got an email yesterday from Amazon saying that starting in January, Prime movies and TV shows will have "limited advertising" but never fear, your Prime membership price isn't increasing!!...........(whispers) you just have to pay an additional $2.99 per month to keep the ad free version.... you know, that was previously included with Prime.

Uh huh.

I need to scrap it all and go back to reading books. Actual books, printed on paper. I could probably reread every book in my house and be entertained for a couple years. For free.

Made it home safe and sound. Hit turbulence in Boston but it wasn't too bad. It feels so strange to be in what is essentially a small box after being at my mom's.

I move the last week in March. My last day in Boston is either the 29th or 30th.

I am so damn ready for a change at least for a few years.

My brother, niece, and nephew are all here for a couple days. They wanted to go to Opry Mills mall today.

Uggggghhhhh. I do not enjoy malls these days. And it was super crowded. Just last night they had a bunch of teenagers get in a huge fight at the Häagen-Dazs store and they threw chairs and somebody thought there was gunshots so they evacced the whole place. Today I noticed they had signs up that there is a youth supervision policy in place, everyone 17 and under must be accompanied by someone 21 or older at all times between 3 and 9 pm on Friday and Saturday. Guess they need that every day. They even have a "code of conduct" posted for everybody. Sad when just acting like a decent human being is so difficult for some people.

At least we made it back home before dark. And i got in over 5k steps so yay for exercise i guess.

Jake’s back at urgent care.

I feel like when you visit 9 times as a family during the same month, your tenth visit should be free.
hope he gets better quick and its not that sore throat i had last week.
urgent care is the best. i went in on xmas eve day for a strep test and was in and out in about an hour.

I am guessing it is the ads that I keep seeing, very annoying. Books are good, I love books.

Baby coming up on 1 year old and the last two nights have been absolutely brutal.

Very very fussy. Inconsolable.

Wife is getting basically no sleep.

She accused me of “yelling” this morning, which I most certainly did not.

Old me would have stomped away and sulked, but I fell on my sword and put myself in her shoes and apologized.

Hanging with this kid, watching Teletubbies while mom sleeps.

Blessed are the peace makers.

If you haven't put it on yet, now is the time to go on youtube and put on Miss Rachel. You'll be so thankful afterwards.

I swear I`m the king of Covid, now have it for the 3rd time and due to my very compromised respiratory system with acute asthma, I`ve always worn masks, got vax`s...ugg
I am so sorry to hear that, I hope you recover soon. Approximately 1 in 20 Canadians have it right now, so it is hard to avoid even with all the precautions.

Just cleared out my ignore list. Have not looked at it in years and there were some names on there that I had long forgotten. I also forgot why most names were on the list to begin with, so I guess it was time.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if I can change...and you can change...anybody can change

LOL. Clearing out my Ignore List is an annual New Years tradition of mine.

You know, fresh starts and all....

I've never actually ignored anyone here, though there have been a few I've been tempted to and at least one person I refuse to engage with. But I never use the ignore feature.

I think it stems from how much time I used to spend reading more general forums. I have little tolerance for strangers hurling random insults. Adding to the ignore list helps cut back on the clutter.
