Just cleared out my ignore list. Have not looked at it in years and there were some names on there that I had long forgotten. I also forgot why most names were on the list to begin with, so I guess it was time.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if I can change...and you can change...anybody can change

Don't worry, you'll remember soon enough

Ate at Cook Out for the first time today. I was impressed. Nothing fancy, but the burger was tasty, the bun was fresh, the sides were plentiful, and I did indeed get a "huge Coke" lol.

You pay more for less at McDonalds, and Cook Out tastes better.

Driving down to Orlando the last couple summers I saw roughly 629 COOK OUT signs along 95. I never really knew what it was though. I just assumed it was gonna be a trashy diner like Waffle House, or an Old Country Buffet type joint.

Maybe next drive down I will have to test these waters!

For the money, it's worth it. My brother and his kids all got shakes too and they were super thick. Lots of flavors.

Got a much needed massage today. She even used the hot stones.

The therapist said the knots in my hamstrings and glutes started to break down so i should get some pain relief in my SI joint in a few days. I also just feel so much better overall and much more relaxed.

I am a free woman!!!!! I can drive!!!! No more PT sessions, I'm to do the program at home. Doctor is happy with my progress & how well I walk. We agreed I will have my other hip replaced in a year to 18 months unless it deteriorates faster than it is doing now.

Someone got a hold of my verizon account last night and tried to order a new iPhone and Apple Watch. Got my service suspended twice too. Verizon took care of everything and contacted the police in CT as it looks like the person who stole the info lives there.

I locked everything down like Ft. Knox and locked my credit accounts.

I noticed it when the spam texts came flooding in and I checked my devices page in my Verizon account.

They messed with the wrong person

My dog fell down the stairs this morning, ripped a nail, and ran around the house leaving a trail of blood everywhere.
The joys of having old pets.
Poor pupper. :(

I miss Daisy like crazy and wish she was still here, but I don't miss cleaning up after some of the accidents she had in the last couple months. Thankfully by that time I had moved into an apartment with mostly no carpet so at least cleanup was a little easier.

I've never actually ignored anyone here, though there have been a few I've been tempted to and at least one person I refuse to engage with. But I never use the ignore feature.

I think it stems from how much time I used to spend reading more general forums. I have little tolerance for strangers hurling random insults. Adding to the ignore list helps cut back on the clutter.
I don't think I've ever "ignored" anyone on any platform ever. It is invaluable for those of us who are legitimately being harassed, but thankfully, I've never experienced that.

I see this for what it is: it's people talking on the internet and 99.999% of them have no real power anyway. I'm pretty thick-skinned and know for a fact that almost every keyboard warrior who's ever flung shit at me would never say those things to my face.

In a semi-related segue, I almost signed up for reddit this morning while exploring a non-sports related topic. Ho. Lee. Shit. What a cesspool. This place (HF in general, not just the Bruins board) is a bastion of high-brow intellectual discourse compared to that internet shithole. As thick-skinned as I am, I don't think I could endure the whining; crying; and sniveling I saw there. Yikes.

Today I finally get to celebrate Christmas with family. I'm cooking a ham later. Mashed potatoes. I already baked my chocolate chip walnut cookies, my Christmas bark. My brother has cupcakes and ricotta pie from Elm Street Bakery (iykyk). My older sister is making her baked mac n cheese. My niece is making her sweet potatoes with marshmallows.

I can't wait to give my gifts to the kids. And of course to see family! We're all going to my brothers house. Might miss some of the Bruins game but I'm excited.

Next up on Bruinaura's restaurant tour with family in town.... the local hole in the wall restaurant with the best chicken and waffles you're likely to find anywhere near Nashville.

Local owned, small restaurant that seats maybe 30-40 people. Great service, the food took a little while to prepare but it was worth the wait.

The waffle was huge, dense, and flavored with cinnamon which I was not expecting but man, was it good. Chicken was not greasy at all, with a great crispy coating. So good. I couldn't come close to eating it all, ended up with a to go box which I rarely do with leftovers.

I am so getting back to losing weight after all this  :help:

I'm just so happy we get an opportunity to celebrate Christmas together even though it's a week later.

I love chicken, I love waffles....had it once and decided you have to eat it at 2am coming off a night of drinking. One of my bucket list restaurants is Roscoes in LA.

Healing Blessings sweetie

My contest hobby resulted in the following:

2023 Total Value of Wins: $5,670.00
Favorite Win - NHL gift card - $500.00
Oddest Win - Haribo Starmix prize which contained no candy - just a pair of socks and a mug with fried eggs on them

I love this hobby, can't wait to see what happens next. One of the best parts is also giving away things that I win. I never sell anything because I did that one time and felt absolutely terrible about it. If I get it for free, someone else is getting it for free. I enter contests for the grand prizes but a lot of the time the secondary prizes are things I already have or don't really want. I give them to family, friends and if no one wants the item (like the solar cooler I won!), then it goes to charity for either raising money or selling through Goodwill, etc.
