I'm really having a hard time following that pass, it looks like he lets it fly, the puck is nowhere to be found and then zooms onto Berggren's stick faster than it possibly could have based on the release time.

Either way, nice goal.

Kasper picked up another assist, Mazur got a pair of goals, edvinsson berggy picking up a couple of spare assists. Good game overall for our boys.

Just like trolls shouldnt overreact to a bad game, we shouldnt overreact to one good game.

Well it helps to be playing with guys that can score, he's with Burger and Elmer now, the Swedish line. I've been more critical of Watson's line combos than Kasper so far. First year coach issues, I guess. Or maybe he just didn't expect ZAR to be completely useless.

I will say both Kasper (183) and Mazur (175) need to bulk up to be effective in the NHL. Put them on the Joe Veleno workout plan.

Just here to try and help :sarcasm:

And not wrong. I think the word he is looking for is quasi. As Kasper played in Sweden but is not Swedish it fits better: positive meaning of resembling or virtually rather than the pejorative sense of false or spurious. They are often used interchangeably, but they generally don't carry the same connotation.

I think Pseudo Swede sounds better due to the alliteration.

Fair enough. I will always acquiesce in honor of poetics. That said, alliteration is the continued sound at the beginning of words, not sure 2 really qualifies. Now, had you said the pseudo Swedish line sampled a succulent smorgasbord of simple subtle Swedish selections. Well now, that's alliteration.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Or perhaps he's the Swedish Placebo? You think you're getting a Swede, but you're really not?
But, again that's why quasi is more accurate. He played in Sweden. Played like and with swedes.
When you're given a placebo, it's most likely just a tic tac.🫠

Stan Lee was a giant proponent of alliteration, hence, Steven Strange, Peter Parker, Miles Morales, etc. Two words work. A phrase works, such as "Pretentious poster pops off pontificating preposterous problems."

Oh yes, it definitely works. I certainly didn't mean to suggest any problems here, but of course if the shoe fits....

If it gets me Elias Lindholm,(with a resigning) I'm still launching this guy out of a cannon. :dunno:

If I need a player like him(Kasper) maybe Joe Veleno is turning out to be the fit. He's a guy that's really impressed me this season. I thought he was busto for sure last year. Maybe he wants another contract... but hey, he's doing really well. Gotta give it up to him.

Kasper isn't impressing me, and I want to like him. ( I wanna like every single one of the Red Wings prospects lol. )

Oh... I vacationed in France(Parris)... am I pseudo Parisian now?

Serious note: I don't see it but how good do people think Kapser is. Player comparison; Points, role? Bryan Rust? IDK?

Honestly the bigger question is how good do you think Lindholm is? Contract projection? Longevity as the player he is today? And what else would be included beyond Kasper in a trade?

Michael Rasmussen, but can actually hang at center? This has been my concern with our fascination with drafting guys who are try hard / hard to play against but have little offensive skill. That's fine with late first and second rounders, not with top 10 picks.

Unfortunately we aren't getting another top 10 pick for a long time, so if we want some skill we are either going to need to unearth a Hakan Special or make a trade.

I think spending all your money on an elite defense, cheaping out with a bunch of two-way centers and spending on skill on the wing will be how this all shakes out. DeBrincat fits that mold. Maybe if there is an elite goalie who hits UFA we can spend money on a goalie, but the trend lately is to carry 3 goalies since they run hot and cold.

But yeah, not impressed with the lack of skill from Kasper and Nate. They aren't fully developed, but you should be seeing more skill by now and the trend is not looking great.

Well, my opinion, but Lindholm will be the best forward to trade for this TDL if he doesn't resign with Flames. (unless oilers do something crazy)

6 years 8.5(imo). His game projects well into his older thirty's(doesn't rely on speed, athletic ability.) Imo, he should be a consistent 70+ point player who's better at face-offs than maybe anyone on our team right now. So useful as a defensive foil for Larkin.

Adding him your likely playing Larkin/Lindholm/Compher all on separate lines down the middle. That's really tough looking. The PK looks tough with Lindholm/Larkin Compher/Copp.

Bringing in Kane for nothing is cool but adding Lindholm strengthens the team on all four lines and both special teams.

* I would mention Nylander, because he is better, but I actually think that dudes hitting the open market. I don't think Toronto is willing to let him go when they have a cup run. I really don't think they'll trade him to a division/conference rival if he even is dealt. * I don't see Toronto screwing up a chance at a cup, I legit think they'd rather make the run and lose him for nothing because trading him weakens there team vs strengthens it.

Highly doubt Lindholm will all of a sudden find consistency at that level of production. I'd be surprised if he's averaging more than 50-60 points for the duration of that kind of contract, making him significantly overpaid.
