We are seven games into the AHL season. People need to go find a beer or a joint and relax. The rush to plant flags makes this place insufferable at times (especially considering the extremely low consequences of being wrong).

Don't tell me to relax! We haven't had a good prospect since Petr Klima! Everything is falling apart and nobody seems too worried. Jan Mursak was really good but we didn't keep him either.

A couple AHL games for a guy who missed most of his offseason training with a broken knee cap, is moving to a different continent that has different sized ice and that has the rest of the team struggling offensively.

I'll be expecting Kasper to take off offensively before the end of the season but I'm not expecting it immediately

If the guy can't play with one knee missing he can't cut it at the NHL level.

7 games in a row now without a point. I don’t really understand how he was even ranked so high in the draft. Maybe just because he was playing in men’s league?

Kasper's summer training got ruined by the injury most likely, thing like that can ruin the start of the new season very easily. There is no rush anyways, some people are just too anxious to get new toys.
This is the start of whole new patience-game.

How has he looked apart from the offensive side? Has he been good defensively? Is he still agitating well and playing physical? Perhaps he's just having difficulty adjusting to the smaller ice surface when it comes to finding the spaces and contributing offensively, that's not unheard of. I'm not too worried about it. Give him the season, if there's little improvement and/or the problems carry over into next season, then I'll be more pessimistic about his chances. As of now he's still shown a lot to be excited about as a prospect, 8 games in the AHL isn't going to erase that.

Clearly we should continue to draw sweeping conclusions that foster a narrative of doom and gloom.

He didn't look bad against the Admirals on Saturday. Kid is young, first time in NA, coming off injury and missing some training. Give him a half season for you even start thinking about beginning to lightly evaluate his stats.

I just spoke with him. He is looking to bust. He said it is super easy to go out and be good, nobody ever tries to bust, so that is what he is working on!

In a perfect world, we see a guy play once and then fill in his career stats, but this ain't a perfect world and we have to wait for them to fill them in!

Well, I'm rooting for him. This is why you don't freak out putting a prospect in trade though...

I think it's more a big deal than not that he's not doing anything.

Idk if I could of done better at the draft. I wanted Matthew Savoie and Conor Geekie then Kasper.

To me... Kaspers trade bait if you get the right name(S) involved.

Soderblom is also not setting the world on fire in spite of having a year’s experience in both the NHL and AHL. I’d put Kasper on a line with Mazur and Hanas, that’s a line that should create havoc and scoring chances

1 point in 8 games is exactly the type of trade bait that gets the right names involved
Well, Idk, Flames, Elais Lindholm. That situation is getting interesting. I've liked him since summer, contract talks have stalled so they're not going to get a haul for him as a rental.

A prospect like Kasper and Wings 1st rdp pick or Boston's 1st rdp pick might be one the best offers they get.

Idk if they hold on to him past the TDL just because of the Jhonny Hockey situation.

I'm actually already antsy to add and want to snowball this winning momentum the team has right now by adding a name like him.

Give him some time.
For real. Given how well he performed in the SHL last season, he's clearly adjusting to the NA game. Some guys just take longer to do that than others. And that's not even considering him possibly still getting back up to speed from his injury.
