I agree. Not everyone is a Marchand and develops into a superstar in their late 20s. Most defense men at 23 should be either in their prime or getting close to it [defense men take longer to develop]. But, at 23, what you see is what you will get.

This is ludicrous.

Pretty much. When the game was slower and drug policies were less stringent, players would more frequently peak in their late 20s by remaining on the same level athletically as the younger players but leveraging their experience. But no longer.

It only looks bad because we're down 3-0 and we can't finish our chances and our veteran players all suck and our gap players are invisible and our rookies are struggling to find their footing and our defensive deployment is really bad.

Water and coffee. Vodka with club soda if I'm out. I don't like liquid calories.
My man! :thumbu:

My weakness is chocolate and coke. I can literally put away a sheet of brownies like its nothing. Especially with some whole milk.... anytime I pick up a new client I always try to gauge what their strengths and weakness are and then I let them know mine and always remind them they no one is perfect

Even if we draft Hughes, we will still be a terrible team. There are no other high end prospects in the pipeline. Chytil can turn into a top-6 forward, jury is out on Lias Anderson. Shestyorkin will be great, but he doesnt help the lack of talent on the ice. You would be putting Hughes out there with low end talent. At best, they would be the Eichel and Sabres of the last couple of seasons.

It's a lot like Boston's system afaict.
They seem to do well.

Either They do not get it yet or cannot execute it. The Home run breakouts are gone, dump and chase is back yet We have problems getting deep enough to make it work. plus too many hand grenade fwds. I think the lack of Creative skill on D makes it hard to realize
