I literally addressed this in an earlier post as the only thing Shanny has done in his tenure with the Leafs that I had a problem with. He F'd up here. One time.

He's otherwise fantastic as far as I'm concerned.

Do you know what upper management was like before he came aboard? Not good.

Anyone remember the series against New Jersey way back when?

I think we were up in the series. Domi elbows Neidermyer in the face with like 3 seconds left and we're obviously winning.

Proceed to blow the series, and I think game 7 we had something like 12 shots on goal the entire game.

That is my lowest point as a Leafs fan. Just crushing to watch such futility.

So that's worst case scenario for me. Surely these guys can put up a fight?

We'll see.

Dubie made a terrible bet with 4 forwards for half of CAP but give him credit he has tried pretty hard over da years to give core some players for playoffs .. but issue was always da core .. it is very hard to come back from such a bad bet under da socialist CAP system in place which keeps most teams happy .. pretty interesting that final 4 will likely have 3 of his gang in it - florida canes and dallas - 3 places where hockey does not even show up at sports bars in those towns and 99% of folks there have never even seen a hockey game .. oh well it will be good for their pocket books to get da gates where they don't have to pay da players .. profit time for those good ole boys down south .. and espn doesn't like those 3 teams either as numbers will even suck in US .. if Edmonton gets knocked out omg catastrophe in both US and Canada tv markets

I was actually nervous for all the playoff games up until this one. Probably just reserved to the fact that I know in my heart it's over.

But it's not over until it's over so I'll be watching.

Game 4 (away): Don't worry about the series. Play for pride. Play to not get swept.
Game 5 (home): Win the home game. Give the fans something to be excited about.
<Now the pressure starts to shift to Florida. They don't want to go to game seven, on the road and having been up 3-0>
Game 6 (away): Florida is playing like it's a game seven. Find a way to win.
Game 7 (home): Do or do not. There is no tie.
