Believe it or not, many Leafs fans think these guys lay and egg tonight and for that reason won't bother watching. I'm watching to see if any of the petit 4 show up and/or they mail it in.

My thinking is - if they lose tonight, you feel the same way you did since Sunday night. If they win tonight, you feel slightly optimistic and feel invested to watch Friday.

We've been through a lot as fans. I can't imagine feeling worse losing tonight than I did after losing to Montreal, and it's already been 3 days of being annoyed since Sunday, so I'm not really hurting myself watching tonight. I'll also have a hard time taking the person seriously when they share opinions this summer, for example, if they couldn't even be bothered to watch the last game.

Yea, there's a certain acceptance that it's just a matter of time until it's over. Which is very different than any of the previous 6 series, where you were hooked in until the final game.

It would be poetic justice if Leafs ownership/BOD called up Dubas and said " You made your bed and now lie in it" when you claimed Matt Murray past Stanley Cup pedigree was the reason you sold everyone on why you took on that butt ugly contract and injury prone goalie.

Ownership ultimatum: "So you put Matt Murray in net today and you remain Leafs GM as long as the Leafs season remains alive".

Allowing Dubas to play 4th string and rookie goalie Joseph Woll, feels like a cover-up & cop-out to GM accountability and hiding behind his mistakes again. Its almost as if the Leafs now have to win despite their GM incompetence. Dubas' Leafs career now hangs in the balance based on his predecessors ability to draft and provided Dubas with a get out of jail card, and MLSE decisons makers should take that into account.

However since we all want the Leafs to win, we need to rally behind youngster Woll and let the rest of it sort itself out naturally.

Dubas just might have a future in politics the way he buried this.story

We're just lucky that Leaf Nation still has hope because of Joseph Woll.

Woll played 7 regular season games going 6-1-0 with a 2.16 GAA and .932 sv%.

Those are the kind of goalie stats that allows one a slimmer of hope that Leafs could pull off an unlikely miracle and turn what looks like certain doom into what would be ultimate remarkable turnaround.

You know, I was watching the Leafs come back to beat the Florida Panthers in the playoffs, and it got me thinking... it's kind of like when you're at an all-you-can-eat buffet and you spot a tray of fresh pizza coming out.
