I think Travis Konecny is a good comparaison for him too. I really like this pick.

Like a certain 5th round pick that we pick last year ? :D
Roy might have been a 3rd rounder, there was a fair bit of sleeping on him but he also developed more than his personal trend.

Rohrer was developing like a 1st rounder this year imo, straight-up ignored.

Developing like a 1st rounder this year based on what?

WJC, and in-season progress were incredible - he was clearly following a D-1 player improvement curve (steep). If you then valued progress and upside, he should have clearly been considered a first-rounder. He's also showing a lot more offensive abilities than a "middle six forward" imo.

In the Habs' draft video, you can see Ben Shutron talk about Rohrer. And in that moment, he talked about Rohrer going toe-to-toe with Shane Wright in the final game of the regular season. And that Rohrer almost scored the winning goal.

Bobrov mentioned how competitive he is and that he'd want to beat you in whatever game you're playing.

Finding good players late in draft is key to great team. Even all the high picks Tampa had, a great coach, without late round gems like Point, Kucherov or Cirelli, Bolts never win a Cup.

He's a first rounder this year. Not sure how teams were sleeping on him.
Because he was a nobody on planet hockey until the OHL. He wasn't committed to hockey until he was 15-16 years old, focusing on tennis before that, which lead to him playing in none-elite leagues which aren't scouted.

He only ended up in the OHL thanks to Marco Rossi's dad telling the 67' to go watch him. They are neighbors.
