Pretty much. Trade for him now, get more time to acclimate him to the system, city, and Geno's wing. Increase your chance at re-signing him at a reasonable price for the long haul.

Sill is an ok 4th liner as long as we don't have Sill AND Adams. Sill has actually played like a strong 4th liner after his injury. Prior to his injury he looked like an AHL 4th liner.

We concur.

Look, flipping Kunitz and Horny helped Sid immeasurably and didn't really kill Geno (because Horny and Comeau didn't mesh as a tandem with him, not because it actually helped).

And, yeah, Kunitz looks less awful.

That said, if there's 1 move JR makes, I hope it's to address the 2nd line. I'll take this bottom six and defense if Geno is empowered like Sid is, because I'd trust Sid and Geno, finally BOTH in position to succeed in the playoffs, over a more 'balanced' roster.
