Bickel has cost us a couple already this season in his limited minutes, I hope this does not continue.

2 years back Eminger was filling in sufficiently on the top 4. He played 23 minutes a night sometimes for the Ducks.

Bickel is the new whipping boy around here. So i am going to say it one time and then shut up, you are clueless if you think u an get away without a enforcer now a days.. Bickel cost us games ? Really we got hammered by Pitt and the goal on ice in Boston hank gave up a 20 rebound into the slot, bobby Orr no useless no way .. The Rangers do not play that style. They play a truculent, in your-face game. With that comes fighting. With fighting comes big players from other teams calling to try and swing momentum.

Chicago and Detroit didn't have an enforcer in their lineups when they won the cup. Neither did Boston, Vancouver or New Jersey when they were in the finals.

Enforcers should belong in the pressbox.

Plus this is the new NHL where if you have a tough guy he needs to be able to at least skate.

You can most certainly get away with not having a guy like Bickel. Players like Lucic, Prust, and Dubinsky are the kind of guys that are driving the ways of enforcers and goons extinct. They can fight but they are also adept at performing even the most basic of hockey skills.

as for hank, im sure torts is going to keep giving him starts until he gets into a groove. i doubt hank wants to sit on the bench until he's back up at his usual elite level.

if it was up to me,I would have those 3 in plus bring up Haley too..never have enough nastiness against Philly...this is a long bitter rivalry that a lot of you young kids dont understand...and before you call me a Dino or that I live in the past,Ranger management agrees with me more than most of you..or you guys wouldnt be complaining about Stu or a cream puff that dances around on the 4th line for 4 minutes..

You seem to care more about fighting than actually playing the game. Only reason you defend Bickel is because he fights. May I suggest boxing or MMA?

No violent rivalries, no. But that's by their design. They ignore that aspect of the game and the sun still shines in the morning.

I think players like Prust, Lucic and Dubinsky would be ideal. Unfortunately the Rangers don't have any of those guys at the moment. They have Asham, Rupp and Bickel only.

I don't think anyone would argue that they would rather have Prust and Lucic over Rupp and Bickel
