Would really be nice if the local hockey media could take their attention away from their beloved rags with their 10,000 columns on that team to take a blowtorch to this total abortion of an organization.

Larry Brooks does it on a regular basis and so does Chris Botta. Sadly Newsday does not have a hockey writer do editorials like Brooks.

My dream would be any/every season ticket holder did not renew next year and gave the reason… It's because snow is still employed.
Would be great if everyone would agree to do that in a coordinated matter. The best way to let them know this "product" is not acceptable is to hurt their wallets.

They will make changes then.

The best thing about tonight was selling my ticket for the game vs the rags this Thursday to a friend for face value so I don't have to be laughed at by those f***ing mouth breathing subhuman inbred mutants who are going to fill the place.

was it at least an Islander fan? if an atmosphere is what Weight wants, he is going to have it on Thursday, but I am guessing it is going to be an ugly atmosphere with the Islander fans leaving with about 10 minutes left in the 3rd and the Rangers fans basically using those final 10 minutes to mock everything Islanders related and make themselves feel like they own that place

Good. Ledecky deserves this team he, so far, refuses to take control of and get back on track.

Wow, this organization is just a joke. A GM that doesn't know how to GM and a coach that doesn't know how to coach.
Maybe I should hit the Islander game when they head to Edmonton and follow their fans lead from a couple years ago and throw my jersey on the ice.

He just laughed. I got the sense that he's been hearing that a lot.

I wish he worked off 100% commission. Then we'd see how funny it would be and how motivated he would be to relay the message up the ladder.

I don't blame Ledecky at all. He became owner after a playoff year AND has been completely preoccupied with finding an arena in the NY area for which he will forever have my respect. However, now is the time to finally pull the trigger on Garth (and Weight while we're at it). He is the one that doled out bad contracts that were predicated on an absurd sense of loyalty for a professional organization. He is the one that drafted 10,000 defensemen in the span of five years, none of which seem to be able to prevent 50 shots a night! The barrel is pointing straight at him and it is time to put this dog out of his misery.

Weight clearly doesn't have the chops at all. Can anyone tell me what is the identity of this team? We started out as an offensive juggernaut and now we're a team that has 5 guys standing in the neutral zone and yet can't stop the puck from going into their own end! It is a s**t show of the highest order!!

I really believe a fresh pair of eyes could quickly turn this team into a winner, provided Tavares doesn't leave. There is talent and with a couple of savvy moves from a competent GM there could be even more. We need someone that can actually develop players. A kid like Beauvillier should be a forechecking puck hawk that is on penalty kill and power play. Instead he's just a high energy kid floating around. He's good but he could be SOOO much better! A kid like Ho-Sang is what he is and we damn well knew he was finicky when drafted him. They have handled him like crap and have stowed him away in the minors to the detriment of the team. Another one of Garth's great life lessons!! God please end this!!!

Wright's clearly losing it with comments like these. He's clutching at straws but fans need to strike while the iron is hot and have even more chants going on Thursday

Thanks, we need more negative press. Ledecky & Malkin should be egged in the parking lot of their office building till this Circus is dismantled and built into something respectable. I mean look at the Kings, canned Sutter and Lombardi, by the way they are much deeper on the blueline then we are and what do they do? Get Phaneuf.
Every owner comes in and insists Snow get a clean slate.

Very frustrating because after 12 seasons with Snow in the GM office, I do not want to hear anymore excuses from the front office.

I think its getting close to the Two week mark that Garth Snow received his previous paycheck via direct deposit. Good for him, should be right on time for the weekend. Enjoy buddy

We sit around waiting for July and he is silent, then we wait around until right before the season and he is silent, then we wait for February and he is silent as well. He is like a ghost. This is the tri state market for the love of BBQ ribs. How does he still have a job? I mean, is being half mediocre ok for this organization?

No he can't put down anything in the organization, he gets 3.5 a year to throw one unnecessary hit after another and look like an extra in Boogie Nights

I agree. gets some angry cheap young guys with wheels that disturb all year that are playing for their respective NHL lives. 3.5 million sure does get you into some exclusive North Shore country clubs. The golf courses are awesome and very challenging. I am sure Clutterbuck has some Ping Irons, Taylor Made drivers and some Scottie Cameron putters while playing some Titleist Pro V1's. Good for him
