I don't care who we play in the first round as long as it's not Montreal. That would be disastrous.

And Biron should start today. Give Hank a break so he's ready to go. Biron > Hedberg
 
That said, all I've said.. I now get the feeling Torts will go Biron.

Doesn't mean we can't win, but ****.. its really playing with fire..

Risky in what way? Hank could could go down in practice for all we know.

I never believe in the idea of resting players in fear of injury. Play your best. Stay in rythmn. Get hot at the right time and ride the wave.

In the way that he'd be playing a Devs team with nothing to gain or lose and therefore wouldn't have an issue if they ran him. What, a goalie interference penalty? Sheesh.

What's the point? Matchups? gonna be hard against the Pens or the Bs or the OvechCaps...

I don't know why people think the Devils are gunna go out and try to injure us today. Sports don't really work that way...

The matchup against the Pens is 10 times more difficult than anyone else in the East. They are a super team, we barely have a fighting chance.

We can beat Boston, we can even beat Montreal if we get past the Bell Centre ********.. they aren't that good.

Pretty scared of Washington this year too, and I don't want to see them again.

I don't care if we face Boston OR Pitt, I don't want to see Washington. Pitt probably won't have Martin or Crosby for round 1.

Put biron out there today, hank needs a little rest before the grueling playoffs starts.
 
Although I want the 7th for the B's, this post makes a good point

Does Kreider fight? Since he's big and probably has replaced Clowe on the 3rd line he should take care of that. Asham is too small for the heavyweights.

That being said, we normally don't see much fighting in playoff games.

Being scared of your oponant isn't how sports work either... Not if you're any good at it.

If Tors plays Hank today and says "We don't want to play the Pens... We need these two points.". What does that say to his team?

He should be resting the ones that need it, and saying "We don't give a **** who we're playing. We are going to be ready for them on Tues/Wed."

No...what he should be doing is giving his team the best chance to compete in the playoffs. Playing Lundqvist to try to win today and avoid the Penguins and play either Boston/Montreal/Washington by far gives us a better chance in round 1 than does sitting him, increasing our chance of losing, and facing Pittsburgh.

Likewise if we were the 6th seed with 1 game to go, couldn't fall to 7, but winning would move us up to 5th then I would prefer to sit Lundqvist/as many as possible and lose to stick with the 6 seed as opposed to the 5.
 
This whining about Pittsburgh. My God. We will have to beat them if we want to go anywhere. Who cares if we have to play them first? Gotta beat the best to be the best.

The Rangers aren't the best though, so that should prove to be a problem

Huh? Kreider doesn't fight, nor should he. That's not his role.
 
It makes me happy to see that the only pleasure Devils fans will get out of this game is the possibility of knocking us down to 8th. Hahaha. Guess they have to take what they can get at this point.
