We outplay them and you all are still acting like we lost 6-0. We win this game like 5-2 if we shoot at anything other than Markstrom's chest.

Callahan was brutal. He gets the prime time minutes and PP time, he needs to deliver more than that. They stopped skating after the first period. Shameful. And stupid pulling Hank so early. Stupid.

Just an unacceptable game from Hank. Horrendous. There is no reason we should have lost that game. He needs to step it the **** up because he's been bad his last two games.

Yeah. Us scoring 1 goal. (and 1 more in garbage time) had nothing to do with the loss.

Both GA's were deflected right in front of him.

2 goals on 10 shots.

I thought both of those shots were stoppable, especially for Lundqvist. When the team gives up 14 shots, and gets 35, he has to make those saves. Flat out.

People are way too hard on him. People fail to realize if it wasn't for him, we'd be floating around the Panthers record, and that isn't me kidding around. We'd be bottom two or three in the conference.

For every game that Lundqvist is bad, the skating roster could have helped him out numerous times.

If you didn't see this won coming you haven't been following this team long enough.

Classic Rangers. Just do not let this come down to Jersey.

Jets fans are probably viewing this thread.

HEY YOU, JET FAN! Please win your last game. I hope this dreadful team misses the postseason.

Go Canes, Go!

I'd assume that quite a few posters on here would classify me as an insufferable optimist, but I can't blame anyone for being maliciously angry tonight.

0 excuse to lose.

On any other night, we win this game 5-2. Markstrom played out of his mind. No idea why people are not giving him any credit. Just ludicrous. Hell of a game by the kid. I always found him to be incredibly overrated, but he played like the real deal tonight. Sucks that we lost.

First goal? He had no chance.

Second goal? Maybe. But you are WAY too hard on Hank, every loss, no matter what.

It's actually ****ing pathetic to be honest.

Forget the other 90% of the time he almost single-handedly gets this team points.

Hank is the last of this pathetic teams problems.

Yeah, Hank was meh tonight but he still let in 2 goals. TWO. Dos. 1+1.

That shouldn't be a ****ing death sentence when playing the WORST TEAM IN THE NHL.

You know what ticks me off more than the Rangers losing because of some bad luck and bad bounces?

Coming on to HF Boards to discuss the game and seeing so called Ranger fans blast a team that just scored 18 goals in the past 3 games, outshot the crap out of the Panthers, and with a few breaks would have walked out of Miami with a playoff spot.

Do you really think the Rangers played an awful game?

REALLY?

Florida's second goal was on their 10th shot, and really the only two tough chances went in off deflections. Yeah, yeah, they had two point blank chances right after...

Puck was bouncing all over the place, taking wacky deflections off sticks and skates, players fanning. That's what you get playing a game when it's 86 degrees outside.

Couldn't seal the deal against a team playing 90% rookies/call-ups, has been giving up 5 goals a game on average, and just came back from a long road trip. This is par for the course. Sure they still have two chances to get into the playoffs, but when an opportunity presents itself to seal the deal this team chokes it away.

Don't be shocked if they blow it against the Canes and Devils either. I've been rooting for this team for a long time and this is how they do it.

i musta been watching something different, just because we didn't win doesnt mean we played a bad game, I thought we played better tonight than we did against the Sabres or the Islanders for sure.

I'm thankful that I didn't participate in any gloating towards ending the Devils season because now it may come back to bite us in the ass

I rarely get on Lundqvist, but tonight, I just thought he could have made those saves. Thinking it over, the team did play well enough tonight to win, IMO. They weren't great, but they were a LOT better than the Panthers, and the puck was bouncing all over the place. The Panthers mustered up 1, maybe 2 good chances. When the team plays THAT well in their own end, their goaltender needs to step it up and make those saves. Especially the best goaltender in the league.

Exactly. In the last two years we have went from having the ability to appropriately criticize Hank to not being able to criticize him unless we are a hater. I assume it's the influx of new posters, but whatever. It's now obnoxious. Hank had a piss ****ing poor game. Awful for his standards. The team did what it should have had to to win and Hank let them down.

On the other end, Markstrom straight up played like an elite goalie. I wonder if this is the time he begins to step out and do something or if it's another one-off.

better teams lose to younger teams all the time, the young team plays with spirit and gets good goaltending and wham, you have a win.

I thought we outplayed them pretty badly to be totally honest.
