typical rangers let down loss to the worst team in the league

callahan must have grabbed one of boyles sticks from the rack because he was horrendous offensively

richards didnt need to go all out on that play, guy breakin in is an ahl scrub and whoever the defenseman was was right next to him and in good position to drive him outside, no need to reach in that far and dive to poke it

torts ****ed us out of another win, absolutely no need to add a 6th guy to our atrocious powerplay, just adds another guy for richards to force passes upon

I have no idea why Torts thinks it is a good idea to pull the goalie.

I welcome any stories of glory where it worked. None that I have witnessed.

it was risky because they had the PP and hey look they dumped it into the net, go figure............they did pull hank again after and scored the 2nd goal

they likely still get in they should just feel like crap for blowing this. They should of won and been in 6th

The good: Brass, Zucc, Pyatt, Moore, maybe even Richards

The bad: The 5 other D-men for screening Hank 1,000 ****ing times

The Redden: Callahan. He has sucked BIG TIME this month

Side question: Did Kreider, Powe, Asham, or Eminger even play tonight?

Definition of playing down to your opponents. The Rangers played like a completely different team than they've been the past 5 or 6 games.

Does Hank even get a loss if he doesn't give up the GWG? It feels like such a fraudulent win, the GWG was an empty net. Why not leave hank in at least until the PP runs out? I don't get it.

You know what ticks me off more than the Rangers losing because of some bad luck and bad bounces?

Coming on to HF Boards to discuss the game and seeing so called Ranger fans blast a team that just scored 18 goals in the past 3 games, outshot the crap out of the Panthers, and with a few breaks would have walked out of Miami with a playoff spot.

Do you really think the Rangers played an awful game?

REALLY?

Florida's second goal was on their 10th shot, and really the only two tough chances went in off deflections. Yeah, yeah, they had two point blank chances right after...

Puck was bouncing all over the place, taking wacky deflections off sticks and skates, players fanning. That's what you get playing a game when it's 86 degrees outside.

Hope they miss the playoffs. I don't even want to spend any more time or emotion on this pathetic franchise this year.

Reset button.

This.

I can't believe it's come to this. I am contemplating to actually cheering against this team. But probably will not because I want us at least to make the playoffs so we are out of the draft lottery giving CBJ #1 overall.

Callahan really pissed me off tonight and so did the powerplay. I don't care if their getting chances they need to score on the worst ****ing penalty killing team in the leaugue

We outshoot them by a wide margin and IMO out played them in 2 out of 3 periods... They didn't play that bad.

1) Is that what it comes down to? Moral victories against the worst team in the league?

2) I didn't see the first period but in the 3rd period, we outplayed them for a short period of time. We did absolutely nothing after the goal. Absolutely embarrassing. Got shutdown by an AHL defense.

Haha... love it.

Also, brutal game. Getting pretty tired of this team not having the killer instinct/finishing to be able to just put away teams that are clearly worse than them.

Moore, Zucc, Richie, and Pyatt all had decent games. Other than that, lots of bad.

Cally was brutal. Nash was brutal. Clowe wasn't brutal, but made some pretty bad decisions.

also i dont know how anyone can say henke had a bad game. both goals were deflections. the 1st goal dropped 2 feet about 3-4 feet in front of henke. the 2nd was a shot pass in the slot that would have been a great save if henke managed to make it.

it's games like this where it's abundantly clear torts has taken this team the furthest it can possibly go under him....he knows nothing yet he "knows what we did....we know what we did"....guy doesn't have a ****ing clue

Callahan is overrated. That's right I said it. Absolutely inexcusable to put forth that kind of performance with a playoff berth on the line. Two chances all alone in front of Markstrom and not even a shot on goal to show for it. Pathetic!

1-2 vs Florida...

That says it all.

1-2 vs the worst team in the NHL. You've got to beat these teams. We win tonight we clinch a position.

If the Jets win their next game it puts us in a position where we HAVE to win one of our last two. And, personally, I don't want our playoff chances decided last game against a team like the Devils who will be chomping at the bits to return the favor of "season's over" which the MSG faithful sent them off the ice with.
