Torts calling a timeout after the Pathers scored an empty netter reeks of incompetence. Why didn't he call it when the Rangers had the power play?

You just knew after the "Season's Over" chants on Sunday that the season would come down to the last game of the season against the Devils again.

Season's over. Embarrassing going from Cup contenders to a bubble team the way this team played.
 
Isn't this the exact same way we lost to the Panthers the first game? Pull Hank on a late PP only for them to get the empty netter?
 
what lost the game was a couple things 1. not being able to convert on many chances in the first period 2. Richards penalty that was SO WEAK the player lost his balance it was a horrible call. 3. Deflected pucks going in our net 4. pulling the goalie too early
 
Doesn't call a timeout before the ensuing power play; calls it when the other team scores a shorthanded ENG.

It's times like these that I wish Keenan was behind the bench. Cally, Pyatt, and Richards would have been sitting all the way at the end of the bench.
 
At least the Knicks are laying the beatdown on the Celtics.

The other MSG team sucked today and should WALK TO RALEIGH. Inexcusable. You lost to a terrible goalie with a 3.26 GAA and a .902 sv%. You should feel like the losers you are.

The Rangers are officially dead to me. I don't care what they do from now on. They took a giant **** on their fans today and quite frankly don't deserve our support until changes are made.
 
I have no idea why Torts thinks it is a good idea to pull the goalie.

I welcome any stories of glory where it worked. None that I have witnessed.
 
I have no words...**** these guys. I just cant deal with this ********. We could have moved up to 6th and clinched but now we have to deal with more ********.

Torts should be fired for this nonsensical performance and his in-game tactics.

Pathetic.

Now we play a motivated Hurricanes team who will want us to lose and knock us out of playoffs

Seriously, I will never understand pulling the goalie while on the PP. Yeah, great idea let them just throw the puck at a gaping hole without fear of icing it....
 
Most players actually played well, but we got shafted by puck luck and a few players having brutal games.

POTG: Zuccarello

The Good: Stepan, Hagelin, Moore

The Bad: Clowe, Nash, Girardi

The Redden: Callahan
 
Hope they miss the playoffs. I don't even want to spend any more time or emotion on this pathetic franchise this year.

taylor pyatt and mats zuccarello had your best game in a huge matchup where you needed points to make the playoffs against the worst team in the conference

callahan and nash are ****ing losers at this point, you're supposed to be the ****ing backbone of the club and you are silent as all ****
 
I'm gonna vomit. I'm absolutely disgusted. It was gift wrapped for us tonight. They lost six in a row and clinched 30th. Thank god Winnipeg lost because I'd be breaking everything if they didn't.

No I disagree, especially when you consider how bad our power play looked tonight. We have to blame that empty net goal on the FOUR MAN FORECHECK which allowed an easy outlet pass.
 
all callahan did tonight was fumble the puck when it came to him and make half hearted one handed stick checks all over the ice. any other player does that **** and torts makes sure they dont see the ice again. he was literally the last player i wanted to see on ice with 2 mins left and down a goal and yet hes ****ing out there...
 
Jacob Markstrom is Jonas Gustavsson vs everyone else but turns into Henrik Lundqvist vs the Rangers. If this season's for me, they can keep it.
