I just read Skjei played well - no he didn’t . He took a dumb penalty and had a terrible first period.

Haven’t seen the replay but it looked to me like it was the Vancouvers stick butt end that got him, not Skjei’s

This team was never going to make the playoffs.It's about developing our youngsters and seeing what we ultimately have in them while playing competitively.If we can get more complete efforts like tonight while our youngsters continue gaining valuable experience-ill take it.

They played well, I don’t know if it’s just the difference of sitting down low vs watching on TV but Kakko looked pretty fast at some points in the game. I was really impressed by him. Buchnevich & Zibanejad were flying. Panarin is just magic, he was so much fun to watch live even in a quiet game, hopefully I get to see one of his crazy 4 point games some day. Trouba wasn’t bad either.

Vancouver has a real nice team. Boeser, Horvat, Petterson, Hughes. Good goaltending with both Markstrom and Demko who has looked nice in his appearances. They're going to be a contender.

Yes, they’re team is so poorly built and they have so many ridiculously awful contracts. They sign all these 4th liners for 4 million dollar deals, and those are the contracts that really f*** teams up moreso than signing the big fish free agent. Benning has traded more draft picks away than he’s received in trades during his tenure, he’s absolutely incompetent and their rebuild should’ve have taken nearly this long. I’d take our roster & prospect pool over there’s any day, and we were in the cup finals the last time they made the playoffs.

This team isn't going to make playoffs this year. That is painfully obvious. I still think in 2 years we are going to be force to be reckoned with as long as GMJG continues to make the right moves. Another top 5 pick wouldn't hurt either.

True lol but look how far they are into their rebuild are compared to us though. We’ve only missed the playoffs the past 2 seasons, they’ve missed 4 in a row.
Their young & prospect defense is a black hole aside from Hughes
