great game. Thought that Strome and Haley were magnificent and should be getting more ice time at the expense of the likes of Kakko or Andersson, as well as on the power play, where they should team up nicely with our main man Smith who really faced an up-hill battle as he was carrying Panarin and Zibanejad on his shoulders in the crucial moments of the 3rd period. However, I have the utmost confidence in coach Quinn that he will get the line up right in the next few matches as he has showed what an absolute wizard and pioneer he is as his tactical setup in from the last two games will undoubtedly define the modern game of hockey for decades to come.

Also, shout out to Brady Skjei and ever-so outstanding Marc Staal who were both sharp as usual. shame we couldn't have 6 Staals on the blueline today

I will absolutely do that. “On pace” don’t mean ****. If a guy scores a goal in game 1 he’s “on pace” for 82. Results matter. When you are being paid as one of the highest paid forwards in the league you are GOING to be scrutinized. He did nothing tonight. Made nothing happen. So if we were going forward from this game, he’s on pace for 0. How about that?

Marc Staal has worst corsi for Ds in all of NHL with at least 30min of ice time.

But what's puzzling is how he can have 21% with all others having 50%+, I mean he's not alone on the ice at any point as that's 5v5 corsi. So it means whenever someone isn't with Marc Staal they have like 80% corsi.

Too many penalties. Some were a little out there but most should have been expected and avoided.

Way too many giveaways also. Careless passing and just dumping the puck to no one.

Also seems like guys are leaning on “their things” too much. Buch always passes to Panarin, Trouba always tries to bomb it from the point. It’s cool to recognize a skill you have in certain situations but you can’t be too predictable about it.

Having said all of that, it’s still very early and they’ve had a really weird schedule. Hard to get in a groove like this.

It really doesn't get enough bashing. There's no need to ice a team this badly. It's sad, and a real slap in the face to the fans. Truly is.

Maybe a little hyperbole here, but there is no reason to construct the team in this way.

There's no shame in sucking for the right reasons but fundamentals need to be in place at this point.

It’s so sad to see just how bad Staal is. I’ve loved the guy for his Rangers tenure but he’s just a train wreck. Tell him if he retires we’ll give him the same salary to be a defensive coach.

What is annoying is the lack of progression for all the players that should be the veterans. Skjei, Staal, Smith, Buchnevich, Kreider, Strome. Fast is meh either way. Can't have this many rookies and lack of depth on paper while having every person with tenure suck elephant gonads.
