Someone explain to me how there’s no room for Chytil AND Kravtsov in the top 9 here.....

Considering hwo things are looking I'd rather wait until the team has some semblance of structure before working those two in. It's not like they're going to jump into this hot mess and make everything right.

Those two definitely are part of the longer term gameplan in the top six but with how the team is playing right now they'd be struggling along with everyone else

Quite frankly they deserve to lose every game that Smith plays forward AND Haley is in the lineup

It really doesn't get enough bashing. There's no need to ice a team this badly. It's sad, and a real slap in the face to the fans. Truly is.

Maybe a little hyperbole here, but there is no reason to construct the team in this way.

apart from a lucky assist, Hughes was not noticeable at all.

He was pretty bad. The analytics say that we were the better team tonight but can't take much solace from that. A lot of it had to do with Hischier's absence. If Hischier played we would have gotten blown out even harder.

I will absolutely do that. “On pace” don’t mean ****. If a guy scores a goal in game 1 he’s “on pace” for 82. Results matter. When you are being paid as one of the highest paid forwards in the league you are GOING to be scrutinized. He did nothing tonight. Made nothing happen. So if we were going forward from this game, he’s on pace for 0. How about that?

Name me one player who scores every night. I'll wait. Also, he made a great play stealing the puck and feeding Kreider for a great chance that he should have buried.

So when someone is being paid as one of the highest paid forwards in the league he’s immune from scrutinization? Nope. Sorry but he’s being evaluated for every single game. If he’s not making something happen he’s gonna hear about it.

If Gretzky didn't put up a point in a given game you would have suggested he be waived.

I thought he had a couple of good pinches and offensive plays that made up for his bad defense, but then again, maybe not.

He had some good plays and made the 2nd goal happen with a smart pinch

wasn't perfect though and needs to not try to play as a rover like he does sometimes
