I'll be honest, I thought it'd take longer than Game 4 of Year 2 for a lot of folks here to be blaming Quinn.

Hard to defend his personnel decisions and usage. Smith at F down late?

Haley, Howden, McKegg, Smith for me. All of them dressed in the proper attire for the game, very happy with that.

Trouba shouldn't be playing 30 minutes a night in all situations. You have offensively talented guys in Tony D and Adam Fox whose been as smooth as hand squeezed peanut butter. Buchnevich hasn't improved at all. Why is he playing 20 minutes a night on the top line and the PP1 after punishing him last year? He clearly signed up to sell Quinn's herbal supplements to help him break into the Russian market. Kakko is being misused by the coach which is the most annoying thing we can possibly deal with after tanking last year and getting a real talent. No wonder why Quinn couldn't win anything at the college level.

2. Either the role is wrong for him or Buchnevich will always be a passenger.
3. Kreider is not playing like a professional is supposed to.

At least Hughes still looked pretty shitty. Force fed top line and PP1 minutes and didn't do much, fumbling pucks, and his first NHL point was a deflection that took another deflection off of Wood's ass. At least Kakko had some nice moves, wish he could get some PP1 time or top line.

If Buchnevich is still on the first line and PP1 tomorrow, Quinn has lost me.

The Rangers played like absolute trash tonight in all aspects of the game. Power Play especially, the Devils' PK has looked like a JV team in every game this season and the Rangers go 0-6, that can't happen.


Still, no excuse for having Smith out as a forward with Georgiev pulled. I don't care if no other forwards are playing well, there is no excuse for him to be out there.

We've been playing like shit even in the games that we won. It was bound for it to bounce the other way eventually. We might legitimately be the worst team in the NHL right now despite what the record says. Heading into this game we had a league worst 39.26% xG% at even strength. The power play goals we got masked the issues with our team. Now our power play looks like shit too.
