Also the Smith BS is ridiculous bite the bullet and waive him. People can think he’s useful but we already have a bunch of guys not scoring why continue to give him minutes at forward..

How do you know? It's been 4 games with 2 games in nearly 2 weeks. It's a work in progress with a lot of new players on the team. Can you give it 15-20 games to see what we have here? Geez.

It shouldn't take 20 games to get your lines and D pairs in order, win ot lose.
That's what TC/PS is for.
That's also the time you give players a chance to develop some chemistry.

Add to that, the fact that players aren't adhering to any kind of defensive system.
Players still don't know where to be.
There's no cohesiveness ot any semblance of structure.

There's not much to like about how things are transpiring.

DQ is in way over his head..

OK I'll give it a rest for now lol

Just woke up to go work and reading main boards and this here have pretty different opinions about Hughes. Mainboards says he played really well and was among best forwards in his team and people here say he wasn't that great.

Kakko played solid game, still no PP1 time and PP1 was absolut **** yet again? Why not try Kakko there to woke up Pavel and other guys?

Meh, Hughes was alright. He makes a lot of rookie boneheaded plays, but his speed and skills are evident. Benefited a lot from playing with Hall tonight. Assist was a good play in general but not really a good example of his skills or anything.

Kakko, kind of similar. Some real good plays when he gets the puck on his stick but sometimes does a little too much, or needs to make a decision just a bit faster. Rookie stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised if Quinn does shake up the PP a bit but he might also need to tell that 1st PP that if they don't score in the first minute to get the f*** off the ice if the puck comes out of the zone They play like 1:45 on the PP with several regroups and it's a bit much

Haven’t read this whole thread, but are we all in agreement that Buch needs to be moved off the first line. If we’re going to be a one line team, I’d rather have our prized possession as part of it.

Buch was awful tonight.
Sell high on buchnevich. He’s never gonna be aggressive enough to carry the play. Kreider is pissed he didn’t get resigned. Rangers have some ammo if the right players become available.

Don't. This is the best night you've had in awhile and coaches have to ride the hot hand.

How I feel about AV's man-to-man defense right now:

I am getting annoyed with his tough guy act. Especially when it leads to icing a worse lineup.
And I was demolished on here for saying Lemieux was probably ok to play and felt it was Quinn being pissed at him because of the bad penalty he took against Edmonton.

Let's fire Ruff first and then see what happens.
To be honest, I doubt that will change anything. When he was hired, many of us assumed that was in case they decided to abruptly can AV. Nothing changed on the ice -- they continued AV's "helter skelter" defensive play. AV was canned, Quinn was brought in -- same defensive confusion.

The question that comes to my mind is who is really running the defense (if anyone is at all).
